After landing in El Calafate, a transfer takes you from the airport to your hotel right on Lago Argentino's shore. The afternoon and evening are open, so you can walk around town at your own pace and get a feel for this gateway to Patagonia. It's a good time to grab dinner and settle in before the glacier activities begin tomorrow.

- Day 2
Perito Moreno Glacier
Start early heading to Los Glaciares National Park for a full day at Perito Moreno Glacier. The drive covers 80 km through the Patagonian steppe alongside Lago Argentino, taking you deep into the park. Once there, you'll board a one-hour boat tour to get up close to the massive ice walls and see the brilliant blue ice formations from the water. Back on land, the panoramic walkways let you see the glacier from different angles and heights. Grab lunch whenever you're hungry, then head back to El Calafate by late afternoon or evening.

- Day 3
El Calafate to El Chaltén
Your drive heads south across the steppe along the turquoise waters of Lago Viedma toward El Chaltén, a mountain village known for serious trekking. The road takes time but the scenery is worth it, and once you arrive, you'll see Mount Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre rising in the distance. After getting settled, the rest of the day is yours to walk around the village, check out the local shops, and prepare mentally for the hikes ahead.

- Day 4
Laguna de los Tres Trek
This is the big trek day. You'll start between 7:30 am and 9:00 am for the 18 km hike to Laguna de los Tres at Fitz Roy's base. The trail goes through lenga and ñire forests with the Río de las Vueltas Valley visible below and Piedras Blancas Glacier in view. After about 1 hour 15 minutes, you hit your first viewpoint, then push on for 45 minutes to Poincenot Camp. From there, cross a suspension bridge to Río Blanco Base Camp, and if you've got energy left, climb the final 500 m (about one hour) to Laguna de los Tres for those iconic views of Fitz Roy reflected in turquoise water. If time allows, head to hidden Laguna Sucia for more panoramic shots. The descent back uses the Laguna Capri trail, and you'll be back at your hotel between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm, tired but satisfied.

El Chaltén
Today is completely free in El Chaltén. Walk through the village, rest up from yesterday's trek, or take on another hike if you're feeling it. The mountain scenery is right there, so you can explore whatever interests you without a set plan. This is your chance to move at your own pace and experience what Patagonia offers on your terms.

- Day 6
El Chaltén to El Calafate
Your driver picks you up in El Chaltén for the drive back to El Calafate. It's the same scenic route but in reverse, so the landscape is still there but from a different perspective. Once you arrive, spend your free time wandering the town, grabbing a coffee, or just relaxing after your time in the mountains. This is your last evening in the region, so take it easy and enjoy the views of Lago Argentino.

- Day 7
El Calafate Departure
At the scheduled time, a transfer takes you from your hotel to El Calafate Airport, wrapping up your Patagonian trip. Depending on your flight time, you might have a few hours to grab breakfast or do last-minute shopping before heading to the gate.
