Itinerary
- Day 1
Hanoi to Ninh Binh
Your hotel picks you up early in Hanoi's Old Quarter and takes you south to Ninh Binh. Once there, you'll walk through the ancient temples at Hoa Lu, which sit tucked between limestone cliffs and date back centuries. After that, you get on a sampan boat and paddle through the Trang An cave complex, passing under rock formations and by the spot where King Kong was filmed. Later in the afternoon, you'll bike around the countryside with a tea break to relax. Before heading back to Hanoi, there's a climb up 500 stone steps to Mua cave, where you get views across the rural landscape below. The drive back to your hotel wraps up the day.
