Phoenix to Scottsdale
You'll arrive in Phoenix and head to Scottsdale whenever works best for you. Later this evening, you'll meet your Travel Director and the rest of the group for dinner to kick things off.

- Day 2
Scottsdale to Grand Canyon
This morning you're driving through Sedona, where artists have set up shop among the red-rock buttes, then heading through Oak Creek Canyon. After that, a Local Specialist joins you at Grand Canyon National Park to walk through the geology and different layers of the canyon. You'll overnight at a lodge right inside the park.

Grand Canyon
If you want to, there's an optional flightseeing tour over the canyon early on. Later you'll drive Desert View Drive along the South Rim and stop at Desert Viewpoint for the views. You'll also walk out to Horseshoe Bend to see the canyon's rim, then finish with a Be My Guest experience on the Navajo Nation.

Grand Canyon to Moab
You're heading from Page into Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park for a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER Experience tour. There you'll spend time among the buttes and mesas while Dinié tribe members prepare food and share their stories. From there, you'll drive to Moab and have the evening to walk around Main Street.

Moab
Check out Arches National Park, where you'll find natural sandstone formations and plenty of spots for photos. After that, you're heading to Canyonlands National Park to visit Island in the Sky, a mesa sitting 1,000 feet above the land around it with views across dramatic sandstone formations.

Moab to Durango
You'll arrive at Mesa Verde National Park to see the well-preserved sandstone dwellings built by Ancestral Puebloan people. Then you're off to Durango, where you'll stay at the historic Strater Hotel with the evening free to explore the town itself.

Durango
The day is yours to spend however you like in Durango. You can take an optional drive along the Million Dollar Highway through Ouray and Silverton if you want, or ride the coal-fired narrow-gauge train through wilderness, or try white-water rafting on the Animas River instead.

Durango to Santa Fe
You're traveling the High Road between Santa Fe and Taos, which is about 56 miles and runs through beautiful country. You'll stop at one of the major Ancestral Puebloan archaeological sites and tour Taos Pueblo with a tribal resident guide who'll explain how people have lived there continuously for 1,000 years. After that, you'll head to your hotel near Santa Fe's Historic Plaza.

Santa Fe to Albuquerque
You're heading to Albuquerque for the Balloon Fiesta, one of the largest hot air balloon festivals around. You'll see mass ascensions, special shape balloons, competitions and entertainment throughout the day. Access to the Chaser's Club gives you a private outdoor patio spot for watching the display.

Hundreds of colorful balloons will fill the sky this morning. After that, you'll transfer to Albuquerque International Airport, or if you'd rather, you can extend your stay at the Sheraton Albuquerque Uptown.
