Itinerary

Vienna/Munich to New York
You'll fly out from Vienna or Munich and land at JFK in New York. After you clear customs, a shuttle bus picks you up and takes you to your Manhattan hotel for check-in. There's a meet and greet service waiting at the hotel to get you oriented, so you'll have someone to help with questions about the city before you settle in for the night.

Starting at 9:00 in the morning, a German-speaking guide leads a 4-hour tour through Manhattan's main neighborhoods. You'll walk past Times Square, stop at Saint Patrick's Cathedral, see Rockefeller Center and the Flatiron Building, check out Grand Central Station, and wander through Little Italy and Chinatown. The tour wraps up around noon, leaving your afternoon free. Your guide will have suggestions for lunch spots and other things to do if you want recommendations.

You'll meet your German-speaking guide early at 8:00 for a full-day tour covering two major New York landmarks. First, a ferry takes you out to the Statue of Liberty where you'll get views of the harbor and surrounding area. Then it's on to the Empire State Building to head up to the 86th-floor observation deck. From there you can see across the Manhattan skyline and down to the East River. The whole experience runs about 6 hours and finishes around 2:00 in the afternoon.

Starting at 9:00, you'll use the subway to get to Brooklyn Bridge and walk across it on foot, taking in views of the Manhattan skyline and the East River along the way. After crossing, you'll explore the Brooklyn Heights brownstone neighborhood and head to DUMBO to see the waterfront district. There's time to walk along the renovated promenade before you catch an East River ferry back to Manhattan. From there, the subway gets you back to your hotel. This tour takes about 6 hours total and wraps up around 2:00.
