You'll arrive in Washington, D.C. today and get settled into the capital. This is your chance to start taking in America's rich history and heritage that defines this city.

Washington, D.C.
Start with a guided tour through the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center to understand how the building shaped the nation. After that, you'll take a city tour hitting the White House, National Mall, and various monuments before stopping at the World War II, Vietnam Veterans, and Korean War Memorials for reflection. By evening, you'll join the group for a welcome dinner.

The morning takes you to Washington National Cathedral, where you can see the space that hosted state funerals and presidential inaugurals. You've got choices here: join a walking tour about the Lincoln Assassination or check out the International Spy Museum instead. Dinner's included, and then you'll head out for a twilight tour of the Jefferson, Martin Luther King Jr., and Lincoln Memorials lit up in the evening.

Arlington - Old Town Alexandria - Mount Vernon
Start at Arlington National Cemetery with a narrated tour to the Tomb of the Unknowns and Kennedy gravesites. From there, head to Old Town Alexandria along the Potomac where you'll grab lunch and walk through the cobblestone streets. Next comes Mount Vernon, George Washington's home, where you'll tour the residence, gardens, and grounds before visiting Washington's tomb. The evening is free for you to explore D.C.'s restaurants and dining.

Spend your morning at the White House Visitor Center looking at artifacts from the collection. Later, you've got free time to explore any of the 10-plus Smithsonian museums around the National Mall. You can take the metro back to your hotel with the Tour Manager or wander on your own. Everyone gathers back for a farewell dinner that evening.
