Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Reykjavik
You'll arrive in Iceland and take the Flybus from the airport to your hotel. After you get settled, the rest of the day is yours to wander around Reykjavik at your own pace. Your guide, who specializes in solar eclipse astronomy, will meet you to get things started for this trip.

- Day 2
Reykjavik to Hella
Start with a guided tour of Reykjavik hitting Hallgrimskirkja church, the National Museum, City Hall, and the Houses of Parliament. From there, you'll head out on a 2-hour whale-watching cruise where you might see dolphins, humpback whales, blue whales, or orca. Later, you'll relax at the Sky Lagoon, which has harbour views and geothermal waters. By evening, you travel to Hella.

Waterfalls and Black Sand Beach
This morning takes you to Seljalandsfoss waterfall, where you can walk right behind the cascade and feel the spray. Next, you'll see Skogafoss, a waterfall that drops over 60 metres, then check out the traditional turf houses at Skogar Folk Museum. In the afternoon, walk along the black sand beach at Reynisfjara to look for birds, rock formations, and basalt columns before heading back to Hella.

- Day 4
Westman Islands
You'll travel to the coast and take a ferry to Heimaey, the only inhabited island in the Westman archipelago. The island has a volcanic history, especially from the 1973 eruption that destroyed half the settlements. You can explore the 'Pompeii of the North' excavation and walk up to the volcano crater. About 8 million puffins live here during summer, along with other migratory birds. After exploring Heimaey town on your own, you return to Hella.

Solar Eclipse Viewing
Start by visiting Raufarholshellir lava cave, the fourth longest lava tube in Iceland, to see its rock formations and colours. You'll return to Reykjavik and check into your hotel with free time until around 16:00. Then your guide takes you to the ocean for the main event, a total solar eclipse from an optimal viewing spot (eclipse glasses provided). After it concludes, you can optionally walk into Reykjavik for dinner.
