Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu
Your tour representative meets you at Tribhuwan International Airport and transfers you to your hotel. After checking in and having welcome drinks, you'll have time to rest and recover from your journey. Later in the evening, there's a briefing about your upcoming trek.
- Day 2
Kathmandu to Lukla to Phakding
Early morning breakfast comes before a scenic flight to Lukla, landing on a steep mountain runway. You'll meet your trekking crew, sort through equipment, and start hiking up the Dudh Kosi Valley on a well-marked trail with views of Mt. Khumbila. The day finishes in Phakding.

Phakding to Namche Bazaar
After breakfast, you'll trek to Namche by crossing high suspension bridges over rivers and passing the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park. On clear days, you'll get your first look at Mt. Everest. Namche is the main trading village in the Khumbu and serves as your gateway to the region.

Namche Bazaar Acclimatization Day
Today is for acclimatizing to the altitude in Namche. You can visit Khunde Hospital, take a walk to Everest View Hotel for sunset views, check out Khumjung school, or walk through the Sherpa shops and Tibetan stalls in town. This rest day helps prepare your body for higher elevations.

Namche Bazaar to Tengboche
You'll trek towards Tengboche with views of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam and Thamserku. The trail follows gradual ups and downs through pine forests where you might spot pheasants, musk deer, or Himalayan Thar. After lunch at Phunki Tenga, there's a steep climb to reach Tengboche and its Buddhist monastery.

Tengboche to Dingboche
After warm breakfast, you'll photograph monastery views and trek along the upper trail to Pangboche village and its ancient monastery. You'll pass through several Chortens and Mani walls, have lunch with views of Ama Dablam, then head through the Imja Valley before climbing steeply to Dingboche.

Dingboche Acclimatization Day
This is a rest and acclimatization day in Dingboche. You'll hike up a crest behind the village for views of Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, Cholatse and Taboche peaks, plus panoramic Himalayan views over the Khumbu Khola Valley. Later, you can enjoy views of the Imja Khola Valley before settling in for the night.

Dingboche to Lobuche
After hot breakfast, you'll trek at a slow pace while gaining altitude. As vegetation decreases above the timber line, views of Cholatse and Lobuche peaks emerge. You'll ascend the Dhugla rim with rock cairns, trek across moraine towards the Khumbu Glacier with views of Pumori and Nuptse, and reach Lobuche village.

Lobuche to Everest Base Camp
This challenging day prepares you for tomorrow's climb. You'll trek alongside the Khumbu Glacier on rocky moraine towards Gorak Shep, which was once a large lake. You'll reach the settlement high among glaciers and peaks, have early lunch, then trek up to Everest Base Camp where mountaineering expeditions gather during May season.

Landmarks/POIs Khumbu Glacier Gorak Shep Everest Base Camp - Day 10
Kalapathar and Return to Pheriche
The most important day of the trek starts early at dawn from Gorak Shep to catch first light on Mt. Everest from Kalapathar at 5545m/18,192 ft. The trek involves dark, cold conditions and strong winds, but offers incredible Himalayan views. You'll take photo stops during the ascent, reach the rocky outcrop at the summit, then descend to Pheriche for rest and breakfast.

Pheriche to Namche Bazaar
You'll hike down a hillside carpeted with rhododendron and juniper trees, crossing the prayer-flagged bridge over the Dudh Koshi River. The trail descends rapidly through pine forests where you may spot colorful pheasants and mountain goats. You'll pass Sanasa with views of Ama Dablam, Thamserku and Nuptse, then continue to Namche Bazaar.

Namche Bazaar to Lukla
Your last day on the mountains covers the same route down, but you'll see completely different views of open plains, rhododendron and pine forests, and snow-covered peaks in the distance. Walk at your own pace for this final trekking day. Upon arrival in Lukla, you'll relax while your leader re-confirms flight tickets. In the evening, celebrate with your crew over a specially prepared dinner, local mountain beer, and Sherpa dancing.

Lukla to Kathmandu
You'll board an early morning flight back to Kathmandu after your long mountain journey. Upon arrival, you can rest, do last-minute souvenir shopping, or walk through ancient parts of Kathmandu. A farewell dinner is held in the evening to celebrate completing your trek.

Buffer Day in Kathmandu
This is a contingency buffer day in case your Lukla flight was delayed or cancelled. If everything goes smoothly and you have this day available, you can participate in extension activities arranged by Nepal Climbing Adventure on request, including visits to places of your choice, adventure sports, or shopping.

Departure from Kathmandu
After breakfast, your representative and office vehicle transfer you to the airport for your connecting flight home. Your guide and the team bid you farewell, grateful for guiding you through the beautiful Khumbu region.
