Itinerary
- Day 1
Londorossi Gate to Shira 2 Camp
Your guide and mountain support crew meet you at the hotel, then you'll travel roughly 3-4 hours by vehicle to Kilimanjaro National Park's Londorossi Gate. After handling permit acquisition and registration, continue by off-road vehicle to your drop-off point at 3,414 m (11,200 ft), where views of the Shira Plateau spread out before you. The moderate hike to Shira 2 Camp starts your acclimatization, and by the time you arrive, your crew will have camp set up and dinner ready.

- Day 2
Shira 2 Camp to Barranco Camp
Following breakfast at Shira 2, you'll head to Lava Tower, the key point on this route. You'll encounter numerous ascents and descents, reaching over 4,600 m (15,100 ft), with sections that feel challenging. Plan to spend 1-2 hours acclimatizing here and having lunch. After that, you'll drop down to Barranco Camp, where the impressive Barranco Wall comes into view. It's steep and imposing, but don't worry about tomorrow's climb, it's a straightforward trail.

- Day 3
Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp Acclimatization Hike
Start early with a filling breakfast, then tackle Barranco Wall before crowds arrive, roughly an hour with a simple hiking trail. You'll rest after and photograph Kibo volcano as your backdrop. Next comes the harder hike to Karanga Camp, featuring multiple ascents and descents, and you'll have warm lunch once you get there. Later, you'll do an acclimatization hike toward Barafu Camp (300 m gain), then descend back to Karanga Camp for the night.

- Day 4
Karanga Camp to Barafu Summit Camp
After warm and hearty breakfast, you'll hike to Barafu Summit Camp, the launching point for your final night push to Uhuru Peak. Your crew will have already set up camp with tents and sleeping bags waiting for you. Spend the rest of the day resting and sleeping before the night summit attempt, so you'll be ready when it's time to go.

- Day 5
Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak to Millennium Camp
You'll depart Barafu Camp at night heading for Uhuru Peak (5,895 m/19,336 ft). While technically straightforward, the altitude makes normal activity hard, so every two climbers get a personal guide for close monitoring. After reaching the summit, you can descend to the nearest glacier if you want, then return to Barafu Camp for a 2-hour rest before continuing down to Millennium Camp.

Millennium Camp to Mweka Gate
You'll wake at Millennium Camp in the tropical rainforest, feeling relief from dropping altitude and satisfaction from summiting. After warm breakfast, head to Mweka Gate where you'll exit the park. The whole group gathers to congratulate you, people share thoughts in the guestbook, you get commemorative certificates at the office, then transfer back to your hotel.
