Itinerary
- Day 1
Cairo
You'll arrive in Cairo, and depending on your flight time, there's flexibility built into the day. If you land early enough, head to the hotel pool to decompress from travel. The tour company also offers pre-tour nights if you want to spend time exploring Cairo on your own before the group activities kick off.

- Day 2
Cairo
Meet everyone at a 7am welcome briefing. After that, you'll spend the day at the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities checking out artifacts dating back 4,000 years, including Tutankhamun's collection. Next stop is the National Museum for Egyptian Civilization where you'll see the Royal Mummies Hall with 20 pharaohs. Later you'll head to Khan El Khalili bazaar, walking through narrow alleys past vendors selling everything from spices to textiles.

Cairo
The morning takes you to Giza to see the three great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mycerinus, along with the Great Sphinx. From there you'll travel to Saqqara, Egypt's largest archaeological site. You'll see the Step Pyramid of Djoser, which is the oldest pyramid in the world, plus explore various ancient tombs scattered across the site.

- Day 4
Cairo to Aswan
The morning is yours to use however you like at the hotel, whether that means relaxing by the pool or heading back to Giza if you want another look at the Pyramids. In the afternoon you'll be transferred to Cairo Airport for your flight south to Aswan. Once you arrive, settle into your hotel or venture out to walk around the local markets if you have energy.

- Day 5
Aswan
You'll take a motorboat to Philae temple complex on Agilkia Island to see the Temple of Isis, originally built around 690 BCE. After that, you'll check out the Aswan High Dam constructed in the 1960s. The day continues with a visit to the Nubian village of Animalia where you can see traditional ways of life, then you'll have a one-hour felucca ride on traditional sailing boats along the Nile. The day wraps up with an Egyptian dinner served on Gharb Sohil island.

- Day 6
Aswan
This day is completely free to do what you want in Aswan. If you're interested, there's an option to take a trip to Abu Simbel where four massive seated statues of Ramses II face east toward the rising sun. These temples were moved to higher ground in the late 1960s when the Aswan High Dam raised Lake Nasser's waters.

- Day 7
Aswan to Luxor
You'll drive to Luxor, a journey that takes 8 hours and 30 minutes, but the route includes two temple stops along the way. First you'll visit Kom Ombo temple dedicated to gods Sobek and Horus, which has nice views overlooking the Nile. Then you'll stop at Edfu to see the Temple of Horus, which is in remarkably good condition and was once the center of that god's cult worship.

- Day 8
Luxor
On the west bank of the Nile you'll explore the Valley of the Kings, which contains over 62 pharaoh tombs including those of Tutankhamun and Ramses. Underground corridors lead to burial chambers where you'll see hieroglyphs and painted images on the walls. After that, you'll visit the Memorial Temple of Hatshepsut at the base of a limestone cliff, then head to Luxor Temple and the massive Karnak Temple complex with its 134-column Hypostyle Hall. The tour ends with a farewell dinner at a local restaurant.

Luxor
Your tour concludes in Luxor. If you want to stay longer and continue exploring on your own, you can arrange to extend your time in Egypt before heading home.
