- Dawid· November 28th, 2024Our tour guide Hamza was very attentive to each person's needs and really helped make things easy for our group. Weather in November was great most of the time and we avoided most of the dreaded heat in Morocco, although we had some chilly days in the mountains as rain moved in. Hotels were hit or miss sometimes. Take some Imodium and Pepto bismol with you as traveller's diarrhea is common in the area but pharmacies have most medications you would need available otherwise. Alcohol was surprisingly available, even in mostly rural areas but if that matters to you ask your tour guide as often alcohol is hidden away and there is not a strong drinking culture in Morocco. You will get tired of couscous and tagine eventually so keep that in mind when you have good alternative options (sometimes the alternatives are not good). With that said, it's an amazing cultural experience and I learned so much about the national history as well as meeting some great people and having a blast. I would wholeheartedly recommend it as long as you're open to adventure.Show moreIntrepid Travel commented on this reviewThank you for your thoughtful and detailed review, Dawid! We're thrilled that you loved your Best of Morocco trip and we're so glad to hear that Hamza's attentiveness and support made your journey as enjoyable as it was. It's wonderful to know that you... - Lydia· May 20th, 2024I am being generous with my 3 stars. It took over three hours to resolved the issue with train to Rabat, and that was with the help from a stranger, also waiting for the train, who alerted us of the train delay and no guarantee that we have a seat on a train, even if it came. There should be backup protocol for train delay and van breakdown. In a group of strangers traveling together, there will be someone who can be annoying. We had someone on the group, who are just a bit over excited, and everyone in the group was teasing him about it. It is acceptable for other tourists to criticize and correct other tourists, but it is not acceptable for a tour guide to pile on the teasing and criticism, when no one bring the complain to the guide. Unless the annoying action is outrage, everyone should put up with a bit of annoyance from other tourists. If they can't then they should book a private tour. In this group, I don't think anyone action was over the top where the guide needed to step in. I found the guide to be rule at time. The guide communication and organization skill was lacking. His soft spoken style would only work with a 2-4 people group. With a bigger group, it does not work. I do give credit to the guide for stepping up and help a tourist, who hurted herself on a hike, with run to the hospital and all the medical visit. I hope that my tip reflects that.Show moreIntrepid Travel commented on this reviewHi Lydia, We are so sorry that you had to deal with all the confusion with the trains and the overall transportation issues you had on this tour. - MTMary· November 24th, 2023Wow! what a great tour, from pickup at the airport to drop off at the end we were exceptionally well looked after. Our guide 'Moh"ensured that we had the "best of Morocco". He joined our small group of 6 for meals and stayed to be part of our tour group giving insight into many things that were not included in our tour. When we had free time he gave valuable suggestions on where to go, what to see and do. From Casablanca to Merakesh this tour opened up to us more than for a traveler who does it themselves would experience. To say what we enjoyed would not give credit to the whole experience. The food, the people and beauty were beyond expectations. To our group of Ollie, Christian, Cat, Cindy and our guide Moh, Paul and Mary thank you so much for your friendship and making this an experience to remember and people we will always be in touch with. To Intrepid you deserve credit for the way you plan and execute the tour and put so much back into the communities and people we encountered in Morocco.Show moreIntrepid Travel commented on this reviewHi Mary! - JCJoseph· September 17th, 2023We paid 2 months in advance for a 15-day Intrepid tour of Morocco, scheduled to start unfortunately, 2 weeks after the 6.8 earthquake disaster. Two days after the disaster, we informed Intrepid that we are presently canceling, not wanting to visit a country during its hard times; And with the hope that we could reschedule for the future and see a more recovered Marrakech and High Atlas Montains area. We were refused compensation and/or credit, despite the company's written allowances in case of change of itinerary or Force Majeure events. This is a very unacceptable and disrespectful response by a multi-million dollar corporation towards to individuals.Show moreIntrepid Travel commented on this reviewHi Joseph, thanks for your review. We do appreciate your stance and will flag this matter with our Sales team to review again for you.Trip date: September 2023

- Alex· June 1st, 2023Our tour organizer Hamid was excellent and so proactive and really went out of his way to make my tour as comfortable as possible. He would volunteer to carry my bag to the destination with the transport car when we go on hiking. He also tried to fix the booking error that Intrepid made on the first day of the tour. With the tour itself, I believe there could have been some destinations that could have been taken out of the itinerary as not very interesting but considered because of its cultural immersion value.Show moreIntrepid Travel commented on this reviewHi Alex, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. - Intrepid TravelOperator•Written July 2025
Transfers are not inclusive for this tour, however we can book an arrival transfer and additional accommodation for an additional charge. On Day 6 you will be staying in a Camp site (1 night). The camp is simple, with bedding and basic toilet facilities. The blankets are warm enough for most travelers between April and October, but you may like to bring your own sleeping sheet and an extra jumper from November to March if you prefer.
