  This 9-day private tour through Japan was everything we hoped for — and more! I traveled with a group of close friends, and we had such an amazing time thanks to UME Travel and especially Amber, our wonderful travel coordinator. From the start, Amber was incredibly patient and responsive. She listened to all our requests and quickly customized an itinerary that perfectly matched what we were looking for — no cookie-cutter plans here! We felt totally taken care of before the trip even began. But what really touched us was the surprise she planned during the tour — she noticed from my passport that my birthday would fall during the trip, and she actually arranged a birthday cake to be delivered to me while we were in Japan! I was so shocked and touched — it made the whole experience feel even more personal and special. The guides and drivers were all professional, friendly, and on time. Every day ran smoothly, and we got to explore so many incredible places — without any stress. Huge thanks to Amber and the UME Travel team for creating such a memorable experience for us.   Our children were always fascinated with Japanese culture. And so about 10 months ago, we decided to surprise them with a trip to Japan. I honestly didn't know where to start. On one hand I didn't want a group tour as it's very structured and crowded. On the other hand I was hesitant to plan on my own and manage logistics in the country I know very little about. I started my research and stumbled across UME Travel company advertising private tours to Asia. I decided to submit my request and within minutes Phoebe reached out to me. He was very patient and responsive. I had tons of questions and was very skeptical. Phoebe tailored and retailored our itinerary multiple times to meet our needs and budget. When the final draft was ready we made our payment, received detailed agreement, and the anticipation has begun. I would be a liar if I'd say I wasn't nervous. I was a wreck. And no matter how many times Phoebe tried to assure me that everything is going to be fine, I was still very concerned. Fast forward, a week before our trip, we received detailed itinerary with dates, hotels, transportation and even packing list. 2 days before our arrival a list of drivers and guides was also sent to us. The driver contacted us as we landed (the company also supplied us with esim card so we could communicate) and let us know he was waiting for us. Honestly I felt like a VIP. The driver was holding a sign with our name, he helped us with our luggage and a van was waiting for us in the parking lot. We got transported to a hotel in Tokyo with a great view and very nice accommodations. The guide reached out to us immediately detailing our plans for the next day. I won't go into details of our trip as it was tailored to our interests and needs. But I just wanted to highlight that every driver, guide and travel agent (Phoebe) were professional and organized. Never late, always providing us with the best service possible. They also were very flexible if we wanted to make changes to our schedule or visit different sites than what was initially on the itinerary. It also so happened that it was my son's birthday on the second day of our journey. The guide found an incredible place for our celebration and made a generous gift on behalf of the company. Our departure was as smooth as arrival. Overall an incredibly trip for the whole family. I whole heartely recommend UME Travel and their amazing travel agent Phoebe.

  Billy was an exceptional guide - knowledgeable, fun, and engaging throughout. The tour perfectly balanced structured activities with free time to explore independently. I appreciated experiencing the cities authentically by walking and using public transit. Highly recommend this well-organized trip that exceeded all my expectations!

  Such an amazing trip! The itinerary was really well put together — full of interesting places without being too overwhelming. There was just the right amount of walking, which made it a great way to explore all the different sights. We got to see a nice mix of modern and historical spots, and there were so many chances to try delicious local food along the way. Our group was super friendly, and the guides were fantastic — knowledgeable, fun, and always helpful. Overall, it was an awesome experience from start to finish!

  Highly recommend — such a fun and stress-free way to explore Japan! I'm the kind of person who really hates dealing with complicated planning — so going with UME Travel was honestly one of the smartest decisions I’ve ever made! They made everything super easy and hassle-free. Phoebe was my trip planner, and after I told her our preferences, budget, and how many people were going, she quickly put together a full itinerary for us. Everything was perfectly organized.   Before we left for Japan, we were a little worried since our itinerary didn’t include any arranged dinners — we thought it might be a hassle to find places to eat every night. But as soon as we arrived, all our concerns disappeared! Every hotel was in a lively area with plenty of great food options just steps away. Eating out actually became part of the fun! Our guide and driver were absolutely fantastic — super professional, friendly, and always making sure we were comfortable. The tour itself was well-organized and stress-free from start to finish. We especially loved the added sushi-making class and ninja experience — those were huge hits with our two kids! It made the trip extra special and gave us some amazing memories as a family. Huge thanks to UME Travel for making this trip so smooth and enjoyable. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

  Excellent communication and support from Phoebe throughout the tour—she was always prompt, clear, and incredibly helpful with all the information we needed. She really made us feel reassured every step of the way. We had a private guide and driver just for the two of us the entire trip, which made sightseeing super relaxed—there was no rushing at all. Everything was well-organized, the hotels were nice, and Japan itself was absolutely amazing. It’s a perfect trip if it’s your first time and you want to see all the main highlights!
