Itinerary
- Day 1
Las Vegas
You'll arrive in Las Vegas and meet your guide and fellow travelers at a local restaurant at 7 pm. The group goes over the tour plan and itinerary together before heading out for dinner. After that, you're free to relax back at your hotel or wander around the city on your own if you're not too tired from travel.

Valley of Fire to Zion National Park
Head into Valley of Fire to see the red Aztec Sandstone formations shaped over thousands of years. You'll do two hikes today: White Domes and Mouse's Tank, walking through caves and slot canyons along the way. By evening you'll drive to camp near Zion National Park, settle in, and gather around the campfire.

Zion National Park
Spend the day hiking in Zion National Park with your guide. You'll hike the West Rim Trail to Scouts Lookout for views of Angel's Landing and the tall rock walls, then head to Emerald Pool. Later you'll walk the Riverside Trail up to Sinawava Temple and check out the Zion Narrows. Each section offers different views and terrain.

Bryce Canyon National Park
Explore Bryce Canyon National Park and walk among the Hoodoos and unusual rock formations. Your guide will explain the geology that created this landscape, or you can just focus on getting great photos. You'll pass through Peekaboo Narrows which offers nice photo opportunities and a sense of how many hikers come through this area.

Bryce Canyon to Grand Canyon via Antelope Canyon
Leave Bryce Canyon and head toward the Grand Canyon, first stopping at Antelope Canyon. Your Navajo guide will walk you through this famous slot canyon and share its history and cultural significance. After that, continue on to Grand Canyon National Park, stopping at Horseshoe Bend to watch the sunset with the canyon visible in the distance.

Grand Canyon National Park
Today you explore the Grand Canyon on your own since commercial guides can't hike below the rim. Your guide will give you several trail options to choose from. You can do a longer hike, take a few short walks, or book a helicopter flight for aerial views of the canyon.

Grand Canyon to Route 66
Head West on Route 66 toward the coast, driving through desert landscapes along America's most famous highway. You'll make several stops along the way to see the history and character of this legendary route, and grab some classic American diner food during the drive.

Sierra Nevada Mountains to Bishop
Drive North along the Eastern side of the Sierra range, leaving the typical Route 66 path. Stop at Movie Road to explore filming locations and do a few short walks. Later you'll settle into camp in Bishop, California with views of the mountains and clear night skies full of stars.

Mono Lake to Yosemite National Park
Start early at Mono Lake to photograph the salty inland sea in morning light. The lake is home to important migratory bird populations. From there, head through Tioga Pass into Yosemite National Park from a quieter route. Hike to the top of a granite dome for your first park views, then walk through Tuolumne Grove under ancient Sequoia trees with their wide trunks and good photo spots.

Yosemite National Park
Hike some of Yosemite's famous trails today. Start with Upper Vernal Falls to see water dropping down the mountainsides into the valley below. Next, head to Glacier Point and hike Sentinel Dome where you'll see views you might recognize from nature films or phone ads.

Yosemite National Park
Take on the North Dome hike, one of the most famous in the park. You'll walk through alpine terrain and pine forests to reach the summit. From there, Yosemite's valleys spread out below, and Half Dome sits directly in front of you. Back at camp in the evening, the group shares photos and gathers around the campfire one last time.

Yosemite to San Francisco
Pack up camp and drive West for a few hours toward San Francisco, stopping to see the Golden Gate Bridge along the way. You'll arrive in San Francisco at 1 pm and be dropped at a central location near hotels, public transit, and airport transportation.
