Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu
You'll arrive in Kathmandu with views of the Himalayan mountains stretching across the horizon. A representative meets you at the airport and takes you to your accommodation. After you get settled in, spend the rest of the day walking around Thamel, the main tourist area in the city where you'll find shops, restaurants, and local street life.

Kathmandu
Following breakfast, join a guided tour covering Kathmandu's key historical sites. You'll see Pashupatinath Temple, the sacred Hindu shrine sitting on the Bagmati River where you can view it from the eastern side. From there, head to Bouddhanath Stupa, one of the world's largest stupas with its distinctive four-directional eyes painted on all sides. Next comes Kathmandu Durbar Square, the former royal palace featuring intricate wooden temples built between the 12th and 18th centuries. The tour wraps up at Swayambhunath Temple on a hilltop in the western valley with panoramic views and monkeys living throughout the grounds.

Patan, Bhaktapur and Nagarkot
After breakfast, a guided tour takes you to Patan, known as the City of Fine Arts. You'll walk narrow streets and visit Patan Durbar Square, Krishna Temple, and the Golden Temple. You'll also stop by handicraft centers where artisans work on carpets and Thangka paintings. Later you head to Bhaktapur, the City of Devotees, to see its Durbar Square with the ornately carved Golden Gate and the Palace of 55 Windows. The tour includes the impressive Nyatapola Temple and pottery demonstrations at local workshops. By evening you reach Nagarkot, a hill station north of the valley, where you'll watch the sunset and take in views of rolling hills and snowcapped mountains, potentially including eight mountain ranges and Mount Everest depending on weather conditions.

Departure from Kathmandu
You'll wake before sunrise to catch views of the mountain peaks and valleys in early light. After breakfast, your representative takes you to the airport three hours before your flight departs, giving you time to check in and get through the terminal.
