Itinerary
- Day 1
Istanbul
You'll arrive at Istanbul airport and look for the Travel Talk sign to catch your transfer to the hotel. There's time before the 7:00pm welcome meeting, so you might head out and check out Galata Tower or walk through the Grand Bazaar if you want. After everyone gathers in the hotel lobby, there's an optional group dinner where you can meet the other travelers on the tour.

Istanbul
After breakfast, you'll spend the day exploring Istanbul's historic old city. The itinerary includes stops at the Blue Mosque, the Hippodrome, Topkapi Palace, and Hagia Sophia, so you'll be seeing some of the city's most significant sites. Later in the afternoon, there's an optional cruise down the Bosphorus where you can see the city skyline from the water.

Istanbul to Cappadocia
You'll travel by coach through Turkish landscapes, passing through small towns and villages on the way to Cappadocia. The route takes you through Ankara, Turkey's capital. Once you arrive, you'll visit the Derinkuyu Underground City in the afternoon, which goes about 60 meters below ground and includes a church, wells, food storage areas, and stables. If you're interested, there's an optional traditional Turkish bath to end the day.

Cappadocia
This day starts early with an optional sunrise hot air balloon ride over Cappadocia's rock formations and fairy chimneys, though you can also take a leisurely morning if that's not your preference. During the day, you'll explore Göreme, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage list. The area includes the Göreme Museum, Pigeon Valley, Uchisar, and Cavusin. The evening offers an optional Turkish Night show if you want to experience local entertainment.

Cappadocia to Konya
You'll head to Konya, known for its whirling dervish tradition. Along the way, there's a stop at Devrent Valley to see its distinctive honeycombed canyon with rock-cut dwellings and Byzantine churches. After arriving in Konya, you'll settle in for the night.

Konya to Pamukkale
Your day in Konya includes visiting the 8th-century-old Karatay Madrasa and the Museum and Mausoleum of Mevlana, the 13th-century scholar and poet who founded the whirling dervish tradition. Then you'll head toward Pamukkale, Turkey's Cotton Castle, known for its white mineral terraces. Dinner is at the hotel restaurant.

Pamukkale to Istanbul
You'll visit Pamukkale and see its striking white terraces formed by hot springs and travertine minerals. On top of these formations sits Hierapolis, an ancient city where people have bathed in the thermal pools for thousands of years. In the afternoon, you'll transfer to Denizli Airport for your flight back to Istanbul, where the tour concludes.
