New Delhi
You'll arrive at New Delhi airport where someone will meet you and take you to your hotel. After that, the day is yours to wander around the city's busy streets and tree-lined boulevards, getting your first feel for India.

Delhi
Start your day at Rajghat, where you'll see the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. From there, head to Jama Masjid, India's largest mosque, and then take a rickshaw ride through the crowded lanes of Chandni Chowk market. Later you'll drive past President House and India Gate, then move on to Humayun's Tomb. Finish the day at Qutub Minar, a 73-meter tall brick tower that's really impressive in person.

Delhi to Agra
Travel to Agra and get settled into your hotel. After lunch at a local restaurant, spend the afternoon checking out Itmad-ud-Daulah and Agra Fort. Later, head over to Mehtab Bagh to catch the sunset view of the Taj Mahal from across the river. Before the day ends, browse through marble inlay workshops and spend some time shopping in Agra's busy markets.

Agra to Jaipur
Get up early to see the Taj Mahal at sunrise, then return to your hotel for breakfast. After eating, you'll drive to Jaipur with a stop at Fatehpur Sikri, a 16th-century Mughal city that's now a UNESCO site, about 37 kilometers from Agra. The drive itself takes several hours, so plan for a full day of travel.

Jaipur
Spend the full day on a guided tour of Jaipur's main sights. Begin at Amber Fort and Palace, built in red sandstone and marble up on a mountain overlooking Maota Lake. Then you'll see Jal Mahal (Water Palace), City Palace, Jantar Mantar, and Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds). The tour wraps up at Albert Hall Museum, so you'll cover quite a bit of ground.

New Delhi to Kaziranga National Park
After breakfast, head to IGI Airport to catch a flight to Guwahati. When you arrive, you'll be transferred to Kaziranga National Park, which is home to the largest population of Indian one-horned rhinoceroses in the world. Check into your resort and take the rest of the day at your own pace before dinner.

Kaziranga National Park
You'll do two jeep safaris through Kaziranga today. The morning safari covers the western range where you can see rhinos, tigers, elephants, swamp deer, and buffalo in the lush greenery. The afternoon safari goes into the central zone with its wetlands and water bodies, where rhinos graze in grasslands and you might spot tigers, wild buffalo, elephants, deer, pythons, and lots of migratory birds.

Kaziranga National Park to Shillong
Drive from Kaziranga to Shillong, which sits in the hills of Meghalaya. The journey takes you through rolling hills with nice views of greenery and winding roads. On the way, stop at Umiam Lake, a calm reservoir surrounded by pine-covered hills. Once you reach Shillong, check into your hotel and the rest of the day is free for you to walk around local markets and cafes.

Shillong and Cherrapunji
Head out on a full-day sightseeing tour covering Shillong and Cherrapunji. Start at Shillong Peak for a view of the city from above, then see Elephant Falls with its cascading water. From there, drive through hills to Cherrapunji, known for its lush scenery and heavy rainfall. Check out Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls, Mawsmai Cave, and scenic viewpoints over the Bangladesh plains, plus an eco-park. Return to Shillong by evening.

Mawlynnong and Dawki
Take a day trip to Mawlynnong and Dawki near the India-Bangladesh border. Visit Mawlynnong, known as Asia's cleanest village, and walk through its clean streets. See the Living Root Bridge at Riwai Village and get a feel for the local Khasi culture. Continue to Dawki to experience the crystal-clear waters of the Umngot River on a boat that seems to float on water. Get back to Shillong for dinner.

You can also take an optional sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra River before heading back for dinner.
