Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Frankfurt to Mainz
You'll arrive at Frankfurt airport and get picked up for the drive to Mainz. Once you reach the Emerald Cruises Star-Ship, the captain and crew welcome everyone on board and you can settle into your cabin for the night.

- Day 2
Wine Region
The morning starts with an active hike through vineyards leading up to the Niederwalddenkmal, which overlooks the Rhine Valley. After lunch, you'll head to Schloss Johannisberg Winery in the Rheingau region where they focus on Riesling production and you can take in the vineyard views from there.

Bernkastel
You'll walk around Bernkastel, a medieval town along the Moselle River with architecture going back to 1416. A guided tour takes you through the marketplace to see the timber-framed houses, castle ruins, and town gate. If you're up for something more active, there's also a hike option up to Landshut Castle Ruins.

Trier
Trier, known as the 'Rome of the North', was founded as a Roman city in the late 1st century B.C. During the guided tour, you'll see the ancient city baths and walk through the Porta Nigra, which is the best-preserved Roman city gate north of the Alps.

- Day 5
Cochem
You can explore Cochem's well-preserved town wall with old fortifications and the town hall. Choose between wandering the charming streets or taking a guided bike tour through vineyards and along the riverside. Later in the evening, head up to the Imperial Castle for views over the Moselle River valley.

Mainz
The guided tour of Mainz starts with the impressive sandstone cathedral in the Old Town, where you'll also see medieval market squares and half-timbered houses. Mainz is notable as the birthplace of Johannes Gutenberg, who invented the first printing press and produced the Gutenberg Bible during the 15th century.
