  1. Day 1

    Larnaca to Limassol

    Your driver meets you at Larnaca Airport and takes you to Limassol, about an hour's drive. Along the way, you'll get an overview of Cyprus and what's coming up during your stay. After checking in to your hotel, you can settle in and rest from your travel.

  2. Day 2

    Paphos

    This morning you'll head to Aphrodite's Rock, which has that distinctive cobbled beach worth seeing. From there, walk through Paphos Archaeological Park to check out ancient mosaics showing Greek mythology scenes. The Tombs of the Kings are next, these are old burial sites where nobility and important officials were laid to rest. Your driver then brings you back to Limassol for the evening.

  3. Day 3

    Limassol

    Starting early, you'll see Kolosski Castle, a 14th-century military fortress that's quite something. Next comes Ancient Kourion where there's an impressive amphitheater from the 2nd century BC still standing. After that, tour Limassol Castle, a medieval fort with real character. Then take your time walking the Old Town's winding streets, noticing the Venetian, Ottoman, and British architecture mixed throughout. Either head back to your hotel or get dropped at Limassol Marina if you'd prefer.

    Troodos Mountains to Kyrenia

    You're heading into the Troodos Mountains today for a wine-focused day. Stop at a local winery to taste different wines and learn how they're made. Omodos village comes next, where you can see the Monastery of the Holy Cross that holds a fragment of the True Cross. There's also the Church of Saint Nicholas of the Roof, a Byzantine church worth your time. Later, you'll reach Kakopetria Village surrounded by pine forests with old Byzantine and Venetian-style houses throughout. By evening your driver takes you to your hotel in Kyrenia.

    Begin at Saint Hilarion Castle sitting high on a hilltop with commanding views all around. Next, Bellapais Monastery offers beautiful sightlines across Kyrenia, the coastline, and the Mediterranean. After grabbing lunch, tour Kyrenia Castle and check out its famous Shipwreck Museum housing a 2,300-year-old shipwreck. Spend the rest of your time wandering around Kyrenia Harbour before returning to your hotel.

    Famagusta to Nicosia

    Start by visiting St. Barnabas Monastery, now set up as an icon museum with relics on display. The Ancient Ruins of Salamis come next, they're like Pompeii except buried under quicksand from old earthquakes. St. Nicholas Cathedral in old Famagusta has the most beautiful Gothic-style architecture on the island. Then see Varosha, a ghost town that used to be a popular resort destination. Your driver takes you to Nicosia for the night.

    Your day starts at the Cyprus Museum, then you'll walk along the 16th-century Venetian Walls and see Famagusta Gate up close to appreciate how high and well-built they are. Tour the House of Hadjigeorgakis Kornesios, a Turkish-style villa with real character. After crossing the Green Line, explore Buyuk Han, an old caravanserai now turned into a commercial area. Browse the Grand Bazaar and Arasta Quarter, see the Venetian Column, and walk the Arabahmet Quarter to view Ottoman-period houses. Return to your hotel by evening.

    Cape Greco to Larnaca

    You're heading to Cape Greco National Forest Park east of Ayia Napa. Hike to the top with your guide, then visit the Blue Lagoon on the peninsula. See Kamara Tou Koraka Stone Arch, a natural arch near the cliff that's interesting to look at. Visit Agioi Anargyroi Church and have a swim at Konnos Bay if it's beach season. Grab lunch, then explore the Sea Caves and walk across the Love Bridge, a natural arch formation. After that, transfer to your hotel in Larnaca.

    We just came back from an amazing visit to Jordan. This is the second time we have used Agate Travel for a trip and like the first time, everything was meticulously planned and executed. We had a personal driver (Radwan Alshwikee) the entire time who went to great lengths to make sure we were taken good care of everywhere we went. He provided insights into the culture, took us to great local restaurants, and helped us with anything we needed every step of the way. In Jerash and Petra, we supplemented our visits with extremely knowledgeable tour guides who shared great insights and information about these ancient sites. We went back to Petra in the evening to experience it by candlelight and with the help of our driver, Radwan, we were able to be among the first people to get in, so we largely had the place to ourselves before other people showed up. Jordan is a wonderful country to visit, the history is unmatched, the desert is spectacular, and the people are very friendly. If you are contemplating visiting: Go! You won’t regret it.
