Our group was small (10 in total) so we had opportunity to ask questions etc. (not sure if we were just lucky to have had such a small group). Dimetra, our very congenial and skilled guide, gave the tour in English and French. Our van was comfortable as we travelled out from Larnaca, our base. The attractions, museums, churches, shopping and beach were all carefully chosen and worthwhile. We had some stops at a jewellery and lace making place and halloumi making place,. Wine tasting was the worst, from all the seven wines served not even one was worth swallowing (and note that I had tasted very nice Cyprus wine elsewhere), not to mention the sloppiest possible looks of the winery owner that happened to pour the "wines" to us. Three days before I left for Cyprus, a new itinerary was sent and the free day was the first day and the Famagusta tour became the last day, so I never got to Famagusta, which was to be the highlight of my trip. No one at the hotel would help me arrange my own trip to Faagusta, and, even though I told the guides that I wanted to go, it wasn't until the last day that Rene said that he called one place, but they were booked. Also, we went to Nicosia on Eid, a Moslem holiday, so everything was closed. As an alternative, if you do not want to do 2 tours, which may be repetive, you can add nights at the same hotel starting from 28.06 until 05.07 and after that stay start the tour. The cost for the 7 nights in the 4* hotel in Bed and Breakfast in single room would be 805 EUR in total.
