Your flight brings you into Windhoek, where you'll land ready to begin exploring Namibia and the African continent. This is where everything starts.

- Day 2
Windhoek
Your guide meets you at Windhoek airport and takes you through the city's main sights. Christuskirche comes first, then Alte Feste and its surrounding gardens at Tintenpalast. You'll walk through Klein Windhoek to see the residential areas, and the tour includes a stop in Katutura to get a real sense of local life. By evening you'll check into your hotel and have time to rest after traveling.

Windhoek to Etosha National Park
From the city, you'll head toward Etosha National Park. Along the way, there's a stop at a Himba village where you can learn about this semi-nomadic community, their distinctive red-brown body painting, traditional hairstyles, jewelry, and their daily life as cattle breeders, hunters, and gatherers.

Landmarks Etosha National Park - Day 4
Etosha National Park
An early start gets you into Etosha National Park for your first game drive. You'll spend the morning and afternoon looking for antelope, elephants, rhinos, and lions, with a chance to see leopards if you're lucky. The park's salt pan creates unique lighting and wildlife patterns throughout the day. You'll head back to your lodge in the late afternoon, giving you time to grab dinner and settle in for the night.

Landmarks Etosha National Park - Day 5
Etosha National Park to Tsumeb
You'll drive through Etosha National Park looking for wildlife, traveling along the massive salt pan all the way to the eastern gate. From there, you continue on to Tsumeb, an old mining town whose history is tied to the ore deposits found throughout the region.

Okavango River - Divundu to Bagani
You're heading north now into the Kavango-Zambezi region, a massive conservation area stretching across borders. Your lodge sits right on the Okavango River between Divundu and Bagani, so you've got water right outside. In the evening you'll take a boat on the river to watch for crocodiles, hippos, and water birds. The sun dropping over the water makes for great photos and a peaceful end to the day.

Popa Falls
After breakfast, you'll visit a Cultural Village to meet with the Khwe people of the San community and learn about their customs and way of life. In the afternoon, there's time at Popa Falls where the Okavango navigates rapids before flowing into the delta. Game drives in Mahangu National Park and boat trips are available if you want to add those on.

Popa Falls to Kwando River
The drive takes you through Bwabwata National Park to your lodge on the Kwando River's banks. The rest of your time here is unscheduled, so you can relax on the terrace overlooking the river and take in the quiet of the landscape.

Landmarks Bwabwata National Park - Day 9
Kwando River to Kasane, Botswana
You'll cross from Namibia into Botswana at Kasane, which sits at the northern point where Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, and Zimbabwe all meet. Later, grab a sundowner drink at the pool bar while you take in the views of the Chobe River.

Landmarks Chobe National Park Chobe River - Day 10
Chobe National Park
You're crossing into Botswana to explore Chobe National Park. The morning safari happens in open four-wheel drive vehicles with rangers who know where to find wildlife. Around midday you'll break for lunch, then spend the afternoon on a boat trip along the Chobe River spotting hippos, elephants, and buffalo herds. Baobab trees dot the landscape, and with over 460 bird species in the park, you'll have plenty to see and photograph throughout the day.

Kasane to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
Crossing into Zimbabwe, you'll come to Victoria Falls, a natural spectacle that stretches 1,700 meters wide and plunges water thunderously down into the mist below. A guided tour gives you a close look at this massive water curtain.

Victoria Falls
This day is yours to plan. Stay at your lodge and relax, choose from optional activities in the area, or walk around and check things out on your own. If you're interested, a helicopter flight over the waterfalls is one option worth considering.
