- Day 1
Cape Town
You'll land in Cape Town and head straight to your dorm. Table Mountain rises up over the city, and you'll get your first real look at it as you settle in for the night. It's the starting point for everything that comes next on this trip.

Cape Town
This morning you're doing a guided tour to Cape Point where you can walk along cliffsides and see fynbos plants spread across the landscape. Keep your eyes open for baboons hanging around the area. You'll head back to your dorm after the tour wraps up.

Cape Town to Cederberg
Early start heading north through wheat fields and then into fruit-growing country along the Olifants River. You'll cross the Piekenierskloof Pass and arrive at a campsite surrounded by wine farms. The views here are really something from your tent.

Cederberg to Gariep River
Driving through Namaqualand now, an area famous for spring wildflower blooms. Stop in Springbok to grab supplies, then push on through the Richtersveld desert toward the Gariep River, which marks the border between South Africa and Namibia.

Gariep River to Fish River Canyon
You cross into Namibia and head for Fish River Canyon, the second largest canyon on Earth. It stretches 161 km long and drops about 550 m down. Spend time walking the eastern rim to take in different views from up high, then camp for the night.

Fish River Canyon to Sesriem
An early wake-up call gets you moving north into the Namib-Naukluft desert, one of the oldest deserts around. You'll base yourself at Sesriem, positioned right near Sossusvlei where massive sand dunes reach over 300 m high. These are some of the tallest dunes anywhere.

Sesriem
Head into Namib-Naukluft National Park and climb Dune 45, which takes some effort but the view from the top makes it worth it. After that, shuttle vehicles take you another 5 km deeper into the desert to see Sossusvlei and explore the surrounding area.

Sesriem to Swakopmund
After breakfast you drive northwest, crossing the Tropic of Capricorn on your way to Walvis Bay on the Atlantic coast. The drive follows the shoreline for about 35 km into Swakopmund, where you'll spend two nights in Namibia's main holiday town.

Swakopmund
Swakopmund has colonial German architecture from when it was founded back in 1892, and that old-world feel sticks around today. Walk through coffee shops, restaurants, galleries, and craft markets. You can relax on the beach or sign up for optional activities if you're in the mood.

Landmarks Swakopmund - Day 10
Swakopmund to Brandberg
Head out toward Spitzkoppe, a 1728 m rock formation that locals call the Matterhorn of Namibia and that's sacred to the San people. You'll see ancient San rock paintings here. Later you'll reach Brandberg, where more San rock art can be found, some pieces dating back 4000 years.

Etosha National Park
Drive north to Etosha National Park, a massive wildlife reserve covering 22,700 square kilometers. You'll spend time around the Etosha Pan spotting Oryx and Springbok, plus various mammals, reptiles, and birds. In the evenings, hang out at camp and watch animals come to the waterhole.

Etosha to Windhoek
After breakfast you do a game drive through scenic areas and small towns before arriving in Windhoek, Namibia's capital. The afternoon is yours to check out the local museum, browse street markets, or shop around. You'll stay in a twin room with your own bathroom facilities.

Landmarks Windhoek - Day 15
Windhoek to Ghanzi
You leave Namibia behind and cross into Botswana heading to Ghanzi, a town sitting in the middle of the Kalahari Desert. If you're interested, there are optional activities to learn about the San or Bushman people and how they've survived in this harsh landscape.

Ghanzi to Maun
Travel to Maun, the main jumping off point for the Okavango Delta. Your trip leader will brief you on what to expect tomorrow. You'll camp nearby for the night and get ready for what comes next.

Landmarks Okavango Delta Maun - Day 17
Okavango Delta
Head into remote Delta villages that are only reachable by traditional Mokoro, which are flat-bottomed dugout canoes. Local guides called Polers navigate you through the waterways. After the canoe ride and a vehicle transfer, you can optionally take a scenic flight over the Delta if conditions allow.

Landmarks Okavango Delta - Day 18
Okavango Delta to Elephant Sands
Leave the Delta and drive across an empty landscape where donkeys walk freely. Arrive at Elephant Sands campsite where wildlife roams around openly. This place is perfect for elephant lovers since you'll spot them regularly at the waterhole.
Landmarks Elephant Sands - Day 19
Elephant Sands to Kasane
Head north to Kasane and camp right on the Chobe River banks, the waterway that divides Botswana, Namibia, and Zambia. Watch elephants and hippos from camp while the sun sets across the water. Before dark, you'll take a sunset cruise down the river.

Kasane to Victoria Falls
After leaving camp you cross into Zimbabwe and handle border paperwork, then drive to Victoria Falls. The falls drop 100 m across 1700 m of width, and your entry to Victoria Falls National Park is included. You'll have two days here to relax or try optional activities like exploring local restaurants and shops.
