- Day 1
Halifax
You'll arrive in Halifax and get settled into your accommodation right in the city center. This evening there's a welcome meeting where you'll connect with your tour guide and the rest of the group. After that, you have the rest of the day to yourself to wander around and get a feel for the city.
Landmarks Halifax - Day 2
Halifax to Moncton
Head out along the Bay of Fundy coast to see the world's highest tides in action. You'll stop at Joggins Fossil Cliffs, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with 300 million years of fossils from the Coal Age. Later you'll have a lobster dinner on a lobster boat before traveling to Moncton for the night.

Moncton to Saint John
Start the morning at Hopewell Rocks where you'll see those tall flowerpot-shaped formations carved by the tides. Then drive through Fundy National Park to reach Saint John, Canada's first incorporated city. You'll get a city tour that includes the Reversing Falls, where the Bay of Fundy tides push the river to reverse direction twice a day. You're staying here for two nights.

- Day 4
Saint John to St. Andrews by-the-Sea
Take a day trip to St. Andrews by-the-Sea and have free time to check out the town. An included whale watching boat tour goes out (weather permitting) and you might spot minke whales, humpbacks, or white-sided dolphins. If you're lucky depending on season, you could see a North Atlantic right whale. Head back to Saint John in the evening.

Saint John to Digby
Take the ferry back to Nova Scotia and arrive in Digby, known as the scallop capital. The town has a nice mix of ocean air and Acadian culture. Your hotel has views of the Annapolis Basin on the Bay of Fundy. The afternoon and evening are yours to spend however you like.

Digby to Halifax
Walk through the Annapolis Valley where the French Acadians first settled at Grand Pre back in the early 1600s. You'll learn about the history behind the UNESCO World Heritage designation and the stories connected to the Land of Evangeline. There's a tour and tasting at a local winery before you return to Halifax for a two-night stay.

Halifax to Peggy's Cove to Lunenburg
Head to Peggy's Cove for breakfast with a view of one of the world's most photographed lighthouses. From there, travel along the South Shore to Lunenburg, a UNESCO World Heritage town famous for its Grand Banks fishing schooner fleets. You'll do a walking tour of this well-preserved colonial settlement and visit the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic to learn about the town's maritime history.

- Day 8
Halifax to Prince Edward Island
Visit the Millbrook Cultural and Heritage Centre to learn about the Mi'kmaq people. Then you'll cross the Confederation Bridge, the world's longest continuous multi-span bridge, to reach Prince Edward Island. Check in to your accommodation in Charlottetown for two nights. There's a theatre performance by local entertainers at the Confederation Centre of the Arts this evening (subject to schedule).

- Day 9
Prince Edward Island National Park
Take a leisurely morning in Charlottetown, the birthplace of Canada. You can do a free walking tour of the city if you want, or just relax. In the afternoon, head to the North Shore with its red cliffs, white beaches, sand dunes, and green fields of Prince Edward Island National Park. Stop at Anne of Green Gables Heritage Place. By evening you'll have a traditional lobster supper served Maritime style in a community hall.

Prince Edward Island to Baddeck
Take the ferry back to Nova Scotia across the Northumberland Strait and continue to Cape Breton Island via the Canso Causeway. Once there, you'll have an included boat tour on the beautiful Bras d'Or Lake. You're staying in the charming village of Baddeck for the next two nights.

- Day 11
Cabot Trail - Cape Breton Highlands National Park
Drive the Cabot Trail, one of North America's most scenic routes, winding around Cape Breton's rocky northern shore and up to the plateaus of Cape Breton Highlands National Park. The scenic lookouts offer great views of the rugged coastline. Stop at the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site to learn about his accomplishments and his life on the island.

Baddeck to Port aux Basques
Visit the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site this morning, an impressive reconstruction showing one-fifth of the 1744 New France settlement. Then head to North Sydney where you'll board the Marine Atlantic ferry for an overnight journey to Port aux Basques, your entry point to Newfoundland.

Port aux Basques to Port au Choix
After disembarking in Newfoundland, you'll drive through the Codroy Valley and Gros Morne National Park (which you'll explore more later). Your destination is the fishing community of Port au Choix on Newfoundland's northwest coast, where you'll learn about ancient cultures living on the peninsula for 5,500 years.

Port au Choix to Labrador
Take the ferry from St. Barbe across the Strait of Belle Isle to reach Labrador this morning. Visit the Red Bay National Historic Site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where the Basques ran a whaling operation in the 16th century. You're staying overnight in Labrador.

Labrador to St. Anthony
Return to Newfoundland and head to L'Anse aux Meadows National Historic Site, the first location recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You'll learn about the Vikings who were here over a thousand years ago. Continue to St. Anthony for the night.

- Day 16
St. Anthony to Cow Head
Start with a morning whale watching boat tour off St. Anthony (weather permitting) where you might see minke whales, humpbacks, or white-sided dolphins. Then drive to Cow Head in Gros Morne National Park for a two-night stay. June and early July are best for seeing icebergs as large as the Titanic.

Gros Morne National Park
Explore Gros Morne National Park with a scenic boat tour on Bonne Bay, keeping watch for bald eagles near the fjord. Visit the Tablelands, an unusual flat-topped mountain made of rock from deep within the Earth's mantle. The scenery here is considered unparalleled in Eastern Canada. You'll spend another night in Cow Head.

Cow Head to Deer Lake
Take your final drive through Gros Morne National Park with your camera ready. You'll be dropped at Deer Lake regional airport around 11:30, so plan your flight departure for no earlier than 13:30.
