Corner Brook to Port au Choix
After meeting your guide and other travelers this morning, you'll drive through Gros Morne National Park heading north to Port au Choix. The fishing community sits on Newfoundland's northwest coast, and your guide will share details about the area's 5,500 years of cultural history and the ancient peoples who lived on the peninsula.

Port au Choix to L'Anse au Clair
You'll catch the ferry from St. Barbe across the Strait of Belle Isle to reach Labrador. Once there, head to Red Bay National Historic Site where a 16th-century Basque whaling station sits as a UNESCO World Heritage location, giving insight into that era of maritime history.

L'Anse au Clair to St. Anthony

- Day 5
St. Anthony to Cow Head
This morning includes a whale-watching boat tour from St. Anthony (weather dependent) where you might spot minke whales, humpbacks, and white-sided dolphins along the coast. Then you'll drive back south through Gros Morne toward Cow Head for a two-night stay. Early summer travelers may catch sight of giant icebergs drifting by.

Gros Morne National Park
Spend the day exploring Gros Morne National Park with a scenic boat tour on Bonne Bay where bald eagles soar overhead. You'll also visit the Tablelands, a flat-topped mountain made of rock from deep in the Earth's mantle. Alternatively, you can opt for a boat tour on Western Brook Pond and visit the Broom Point Fishing Premises instead.

Cow Head to Gander
Leave Gros Morne and travel through Central Newfoundland to Gander, the town that inspired the Broadway musical 'Come From Away.' Learn how residents showed remarkable kindness when 38 airplanes unexpectedly landed here after September 11, 2001. The North Atlantic Aviation Museum displays artifacts about Gander's role in transatlantic aviation history.

Gander to Clarenville
A scenic coastal drive along Notre Dame Bay takes you to Twillingate where you'll see the Long Point Lighthouse and the Prime Berth Fishery & Heritage Centre. Keep your camera ready as you pass through Terra Nova National Park on the way to Clarenville.

Bonavista - Trinity
From Clarenville, you'll take a day trip to two historic towns. First up is Bonavista, where John Cabot landed in North America in 1497. Visit the Cape Bonavista Lighthouse Provincial Historic Site to learn about lighthouse keeper life. Later, head to Trinity where you'll have free time to walk the preserved streets and see 18th-century buildings before returning to Clarenville.

Clarenville to St. John's
You'll arrive in St. John's for a two-night stay in North America's oldest city and Newfoundland's capital. The city sits among granite cliffs on the Avalon Peninsula. An included city tour covers Victorian downtown architecture, the modern waterfront, the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, the Confederation Building, and views from Signal Hill.
