Itinerary
- Day 1
Hanoi
You'll arrive in Hanoi and get picked up from the airport by private car and driver. After checking into your hotel, the rest of the day is yours to relax or walk around and get a feel for Vietnam at your own pace.
- Day 2
Hanoi
Your guided tour starts with a visit to Tran Quoc Pagoda on Golden Fish Island, then moves to the Ho Chi Minh Complex and One Pillar Pagoda. You'll check out the Vietnam Ethnology Museum (or Vietnamese Women's Museum if the first one's closed), see the Temple of Literature and Hoa Lo Prison. Lunch happens at a local restaurant, and you can add optional evening activities like cyclo rides or water puppet shows if you're interested.

Hanoi to Ha Long Bay
After breakfast at the hotel, you'll travel by car through the Red River Delta with its green rice paddies toward Ha Long Bay. Once there, you board a cruise to explore limestone rocks and karst grottoes. You'll visit a famous limestone cave, do some kayaking or swimming near floating villages, then head back to the boat for early dinner and free time in the evening.

Ha Long Bay to Hanoi to Da Nang to Hoi An
Wake early to catch the sunrise on the bay and have breakfast on the boat while cruising past thousands of islands. You'll visit a floating fishing village to learn how fishermen live and work, then have lunch on the boat during your return to Hanoi. Later that day, you fly to Da Nang, get picked up, and transfer to Hoi An for hotel check-in. Spend the evening relaxing or exploring the city.

Cam Thanh Fishing Village
Meet your guide at the hotel and transfer to Cam Thanh fishing village. You'll paddle through the coconut forest in a bamboo basket boat, learn about the area's history, and fish with local fishermen using round nets and cast nets. Grab welcome drinks at a fisherman's house and have lunch before heading back to the hotel around 12:30 PM.

Explore the French Village with street music and art performances, then take another cable car to Fantasy Park. Hoi An to Ho Chi Minh City
After breakfast at your hotel, the morning is free to relax or shop around Hoi An. You'll transfer to the airport for a flight to Ho Chi Minh City, where a driver picks you up and takes you to your hotel. Check in and spend the evening exploring the city's nightlife on your own.

- Day 8
Ho Chi Minh City
After breakfast, you'll explore Ho Chi Minh City starting with Notre Dame Cathedral, an impressive neo-Romanesque building from the 19th century. Next is the historic Central Post Office designed by Gustave Eiffel with beautiful interior details, then the Reunification Palace, the former presidential palace of South Vietnam. You'll have lunch at a local restaurant, then travel about 75 km to the Cu Chi Tunnels. Spend several hours exploring the 200+ km tunnel system with its trap doors, living areas, storage facilities, weapon factories, field hospitals, command centers, and kitchens. You can sample the simple food fighters survived on and venture into the tunnels to see the complex firsthand before returning to your hotel.

Mekong Delta
You'll leave Ho Chi Minh City and travel to My Tho on the Mekong River. First stop is Vinh Trang pagoda from the late 19th century, then you board a sampan to cruise around four islands: Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Tortoise. On Unicorn Island, you'll walk through the countryside, see orchards, and enjoy tropical fruits with folk music. Visit fruit plantations and take a hand-rowed sampan through Thoi Son canal past coconut forests. Explore local family businesses and honey-bee farms with honey tea and coconut candy workshops. Lunch happens at a local restaurant, then in the afternoon you can either cycle around Tan Thach village to meet locals and experience Mekong delta life or relax in a hammock. Head back to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.
