- Day 1
Las Vegas to Bryce Canyon National Park
Your journey starts early at 8:00am when a vehicle picks you up from the Palms Casino in Las Vegas. The drive takes you over a 10,000ft summit through Cedar Breaks, where you'll see ancient lava flows stretching across the landscape. By mid-morning you'll arrive at Bryce Canyon National Park with the rest of the day open for hiking and exploring the hoodoos, those distinctive tall rock formations the park is famous for. After spending time wandering the trails and taking in the views, everyone gathers around a campfire for a BBQ dinner at the full-service campground.

Bryce Canyon National Park to Salt Lake City
This morning you'll head north from Bryce Canyon toward Salt Lake City, a drive of several hours. Once there, you'll check out sites related to Mormon history starting with the Salt Lake Mormon Temple, then move on to the State Capital Building and Brigham Young's Territorial Governor's Mansion. The afternoon gives you time to walk through these landmarks and learn about the region's history. By evening you'll settle into a 3-star hotel in the city for the night.

Salt Lake City to Grand Teton National Park
You'll drive into Grand Teton National Park, an area known for incredible mountain scenery and lots of wildlife roaming around including moose, bison, and grizzly bears. After setting up camp within the park, you'll have free time to explore the more than 240 miles of marked hiking trails available. Optional walks let you head to Inspiration Point or take a scenic stroll around Jenny Lake. The day gives you plenty of chances to spot wildlife and enjoy the mountain backdrop.

Grand Teton National Park to Yellowstone National Park
You're now heading to Yellowstone, and your guide will be with you as you spend two full days exploring this massive park. Highlights include seeing Old Faithful geyser erupt, walking to the Grand Prismatic Pool with its striking colors, viewing Yellowstone Canyon, and keeping eyes open for bears, wolves, and bison. Both the North and South loops get covered so you'll get a broad sense of the park's geography. Camping happens within Yellowstone for both nights, letting you experience the wilderness fully.

Yellowstone National Park to Provo
Early in the day there's an optional visit to the Yellowstone Grizzly Bear and Wolf Discovery Center if you want to go (this has a separate fee). After that, you'll spend the afternoon in the Provo Lakes area of the Rocky Mountains where dramatic vistas and scenic hiking opportunities keep you occupied. Later on everyone heads to a campsite along one of the great lakes for a BBQ dinner to wrap up the day.

Provo to Valley of Fire to Las Vegas
The drive back toward Las Vegas includes a final stop at Valley of Fire, Nevada's first state park. There you'll explore the bright red Aztec sandstone formations that seem to glow when sunlight hits them. You'll arrive back in Las Vegas by approximately 4-5pm, giving the evening free to explore the iconic Strip. A 3-star hotel becomes your home for the night so you can take your time enjoying the city.

Las Vegas to Death Valley National Park to Bishop
Heading northeast from Las Vegas, you'll cross into California and reach Death Valley National Park, which holds the title of hottest and driest place in North America. Throughout the day you'll make photo stops and take short walks at several locations including Zabriskie Point, Artist's Palette, Badwater Basin Salt flats, Furnace Creek Visitor Center, Devil's Golf Course, and Mesquite Sand Dunes. A picnic lunch happens in the park itself. Later you'll continue north to Bishop, a historic Gold Rush city.

Bishop to Yosemite National Park
You'll drive to Yosemite National Park via a scenic route that crosses Tioga Pass with notable stops like Olmsted Point, Lake Tenaya, and Tuolumne Meadows along the way. Once you arrive, your guide gives a short orientation tour and you'll visit the Valley Visitor Center. This day is mainly about getting oriented before tomorrow's full exploration. Camping happens in the Yosemite National Park area so you can settle in for the evening.

A full day of Yosemite exploration begins with group walks led by your tour guide, and then free time for exploring on your own. You'll take in highlights like Bridalveil Falls and Lower Yosemite Falls while enjoying views of Half Dome and El Capitan. Keep watch for deer, marmots, bobcats, and black bears as you move through the park. It's your final night camping in the Yosemite wilderness before the tour ends.

Yosemite National Park to San Francisco
Today you're leaving Yosemite and driving approximately 3.5 hours west across California to San Francisco. Once there, an included sightseeing tour takes you to see the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, and the historic hippie district of Haight Ashbury. The tour wraps up around 5pm with drop-off in the city centre, giving you the evening to settle in.
