Itinerary
- Day 1
Windhoek
You'll arrive in Windhoek and get transferred to your hotel. Take the day to rest and get your bearings, then at 6 PM there's a pre-trip meeting where you'll meet the crew and see the overland expedition vehicle that'll be your home for the next two weeks.
- Day 2
Windhoek to Namib-Naukluft National Park
After breakfast, you'll drive south through desert and mountain scenery heading to Namib-Naukluft National Park. The camp for tonight sits near the Sossusvlei dunes, which include some of the world's tallest sand dunes and one of the largest salt pans around.

- Day 3
Sossusvlei
This morning you'll climb the massive sand dunes at Sossusvlei. Kids can race to the top for views of endless sand stretching toward the Atlantic about 50 miles away, then slide back down. Breakfast and lunch happen at the truck, and there's a group meal in the evening.

Namib Desert to Swakopmund
With a guide, you'll explore the Namib Desert to spot wildlife from the Big 5 to the Little 5, learning about things like beetles that do headstands to collect fog. Later you'll drive northwest to the Atlantic coast and Swakopmund, settling in for a group dinner.

Swakopmund
You've got the full day free in Swakopmund. There are tons of optional activities available like catamaran cruises to see dolphins and whales, kayaking with seals, sandboarding, fat biking, or 4x4 adventures. If you prefer something quieter, you can hit up cafes, art galleries, and museums.

Swakopmund
Another free day in Swakopmund where you can do whatever you'd like. The town has plenty of optional activities on offer, all at your own expense.

- Day 7
Swakopmund to Skeleton Coast and Ozohere Campsite
You'll leave Swakopmund and head north along the Skeleton Coast to Cape Cross, a nature reserve home to one of the largest Cape fur seal colonies. You'll watch the seals from a safe walkway and see a replica of Diego Cao's historic cross. From there it's inland to a small family-run camp in the desert that supports the local Himba community.

- Day 8
Namibian Desert to Etosha National Park
The group travels north to Etosha National Park's southern entrance, arriving in the afternoon. By evening you'll go on your first game drive, watching wildlife come to a nearby floodlit waterhole.

Landmarks/POIs Etosha National Park 
- Day 9
Etosha National Park
You'll spend the day on safari in Etosha, a massive wildlife reserve covering 8,600 square miles. Look for the Big Five (four of them live here: elephants, rhinos, lions, and leopards), plus giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and over 300 bird species. During dry season, May to October, animals gather in huge numbers around the watering holes.

Landmarks/POIs Etosha National Park - Day 10
Etosha to Rundu and Okavango River
After breakfast you'll head north toward the remote northwest and the Okavango River at the Angola border. Stop in Rundu to pick up supplies, then settle at your camp. Later you'll take a cruise on the Kavango floodplain to watch the sunset and see local birds and wildlife.

Landmarks/POIs Okavango River Kavango floodplain - Day 11
Rundu to Caprivi Strip and Okavango Delta
There's an optional morning visit to the Mbunza Living Museum to learn about traditional fishing, agriculture, cooking, and basket weaving of the local Kavango people. Then you'll travel to the Caprivi Strip, which has five perennial rivers and tons of wildlife like elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and buffalo. Over 660 bird species have been recorded here, making it exceptional for birdwatching.

Okavango River
You have the full day free on the Okavango River to do as you like. There are plenty of optional water-based activities available, and you can soak in the tranquility of one of the world's largest inland waterways.

Chobe River
You'll cross the border into Botswana and head to Kasane along the Chobe River. During dry season, thousands of elephants, estimated between 40,000 to 60,000, line the riverbanks and cross near the campsite for some unforgettable close encounters. An evening river cruise offers great photo opportunities as the sun sets.

Victoria Falls
There's an optional early morning game drive into Chobe National Park (not included). Then you'll cross into Zimbabwe and travel to Victoria Falls, one of the seven natural wonders. Known as 'The Smoke that Thunders,' it has the largest single curtain of falling water in the world with 70 percent of views visible from the Zimbabwe rainforest. The surrounding rainforest is home to unique endemic species that birdwatchers and botanists will appreciate.

Victoria Falls
Spend the day exploring Victoria Falls on your own before your departure flight. You can do optional adventure activities like white-water rafting, bungee jumping, gorge swinging, and horseback riding, or take it easy visiting craft markets and coffee shops. Airport transfer to Victoria Falls International Airport is included, and you can add extra nights if you want.
