Athens
This morning you'll tour ancient Athens with a local specialist, checking out the Acropolis, Parthenon, Royal Palace, and Temple of Zeus. The Acropolis Museum comes next to see the antiquities, followed by Hadrian's Arch and the Olympic stadium. The afternoon is yours to wander the Plaka, sit in Syntagma Square, or find the city's best souvlaki.

Athens to Nafplion
You'll head out of Athens this morning and cross the Corinth Canal into the Peloponnesian Peninsula. A local specialist takes you through ancient Corinth, then to Mycenae where you'll see the Beehive Tombs, Lion Gate, and Agamemnon's Royal Palace. After that, the ancient theatre at Epidaurus and the Sanctuary of Asclepius. You'll finish in the Venetian town of Nafplion with dinner at your hotel.

Nafplion to Olympia
You're traveling through the Arcadian mountains toward Olympia today. There's a stop at a family-run honey farm where you'll taste thyme-infused honey and learn about traditional practices. Later you'll explore the ancient Olympic Games site from 776 BC. This evening, you'll have dinner at an olive and wine estate with the Karabelas family, complete with homecooked food, traditional dancing, and Greek hospitality.

You'll cross the Thessaly plain, Greece's agricultural heartland, before arriving in Kalambaka.
