Bordeaux
You'll arrive in Bordeaux and board the Scenic Diamond. This former industrial city, once called 'Sleeping Beauty', has undergone significant restoration and now holds UNESCO World Heritage status with over 300 historical monuments scattered throughout. Settle in and get oriented to your ship before dinner.

Libourne
The ship cruises to Libourne, a 13th-century port town where you'll dock for the night. In the afternoon, head into the medieval village of Saint-Émilion to walk around its historic streets and check out the local wineries. The village is also known as the birthplace of macarons, so there's plenty to see between the architecture and food.

Libourne to Blaye
You have several guided options to choose from this morning: walk through Libourne's fortified harbour, do a wine tasting at a Saint-Émilion château, visit a sturgeon farm to learn about caviar production, or take a bread-making workshop at a restored 19th-century mill. After lunch, the ship sails to Blaye and you'll arrive by evening.

Blaye
Start your day in Blaye with a choice between a relaxed walking tour or a more active exploration of the UNESCO-listed citadel designed by architect Sébastien Vauban. The structure was built to protect Bordeaux from attack. This evening, you'll attend an exclusive classical concert at the 13th-century Château d'Agassac, so dress nicely for that.

Fort Médoc to Bourg
You wake at Fort Médoc in the Médoc wine region. Pick between a coach tour or an e-bike ride with wine tastings at local estates (75°F/24°C typical for spring, so dress accordingly). Later the ship heads to Bourg, a village perched on a rocky promontory. Choose from the Carriages Museum, a coastal cycling tour, or wine tasting with Gironde views.

Bordeaux to Cadillac
Early departure from Bordeaux as you cruise along the Garonne River toward Cadillac, a 13th-century fortified city built around a magnificent château. Once there, select either a coach or e-bike tour of Sauternes with wine tastings, or take a walking tour through Cadillac's medieval streets and marketplace.

Bordeaux
Back in Bordeaux for a full day with multiple options. Join a guided city tour covering the Gothic cathedral and Place de la Bourse, or cycle around sampling traditional canelés. Alternatively, shop at a local market with Scenic's chef and then join a French cooking class on board. Your afternoon is free to wander the waterfront, visit the Golden Triangle district, or check out La Cité du Vin wine museum.

Bordeaux to London
Board your included flight from Bordeaux to London. After landing, transfer to your hotel for a 3-night stay. The afternoon is yours to do what you'd like, whether that's resting from travel or getting out to explore the area around your accommodation.

London
Following breakfast, join a half-day guided tour hitting London's key landmarks: Trafalgar Square, Big Ben, and the Tower of London where you'll see the Crown Jewels. Your guide covers the Tower's history from William the Conqueror's 1070 fortress through its time as a royal palace and prison. The tour finishes at Buckingham Palace. Spend the afternoon on your own, then meet fellow travelers for dinner at a local restaurant.
