London
This is a full free day in London. You can spend it however you like, visiting royal palaces, cathedrals, riding the London Underground, or exploring the various museums and monuments that showcase Britain's heritage.

- Day 3
London to Windsor to Oxford to Birmingham
Meet your Travel Director and group this morning before heading west. You'll stop in Windsor to see the historic castle, one of the oldest and largest inhabited fortresses around. Then it's on to Oxford, where you can walk through the historic university city and check out the colleges and architecture. After that, you'll travel to Birmingham for your overnight stay.

- Day 4
Birmingham to Chester to Liverpool
You'll travel to Chester, a historic city with Roman walls built in the first century and distinctive black-and-white half-timbered buildings. Explore Chester on your own, or join a choice experience to Llangollen in North Wales to see the scenic landscape and cultural attractions. Later, head to Liverpool for your overnight stay and spend the evening exploring the city.

- Day 5
Liverpool to Lake District to Gretna Green to Glasgow
Drive north to the Lake District, known for its rugged landscape that inspired William Wordsworth. You can optionally join a choice experience for a heritage steam train ride from Haverthwaite to Lakeside, followed by a cruise on Lake Windermere. Later, visit Gretna Green, the historic village famous for elopements since 1754. Cross into Scotland and settle into Glasgow for the night.

Head north to Loch Lomond and optionally take a cruise to Rob Roy's cave. You'll experience Glencoe's dramatic scenery, known as the 'Glen of Weeping'. Explore the Highland landscape, and you can join a choice experience at a Highland sheep farm where you'll meet a local shepherd and learn sheep-shearing. Check into your Highland hotel for the night.

Head to St. Andrews, the birthplace of golf, for a photo at the famous 18th green.

You'll visit the Georgian New Town, Palace of Holyroodhouse, the Royal Mile, and Edinburgh Castle. Free time is available to explore on your own or join optional experiences throughout the day.
