Extremely disappointed. Optional excursions as sold to us by tour guide, Steen, was completely misrepresented and overpriced. When I tried speaking to Steen about my concerns I was talked down to in a demeaning and patronizing manner. This prompted me to cancel all remaining excursions as I cannot guarantee they will be anything as described by Steen. So upset by this tour.

The overall tour was a great experience. The tour director, Chris Tremlett, was wonderful and the tour was well organised. Although we the itinerary was good, wish we could spend more time in certain places but understand that due to time factor, it may not be possible. My wife and I enjoyed ourselves listening to the history of the various places.

    Asked on August 27th, 2025

I'm planning to join the tour group in October. However, I'll be traveling from China with a UK visa, which doesn't allow me entry into Ireland. Is there an alternative or solution for this?

    Visa
    • CostsaverOperatorWritten August 2025

While your UK visa allows you entry into England, Scotland, and Wales, it unfortunately does not grant access to Ireland, as Ireland operates under a separate immigration system. You might be able to apply under the British Irish Visa Scheme or apply directly for an Irish visa. If securing an Irish visa isn't feasible, another option would be to consider a tour that focuses exclusively on Great Britain.

    • K

      TravelerWritten August 2025

I'm not a citizen of China or India, I only live in China currently and so I'm not eligible for the British Irish Visa Scheme and securing an Irish visa isn't going to be feasible. My visa status grants me entry into Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and England and these are the places I'd like to visit as part of a tour group.

    • CostsaverOperatorWritten August 2025

Do any of the tours take a person that uses a folding wheel chair?

    Tour Details
    Travel Support
    • CostsaverOperatorWritten August 2025

Yes, in most circumstances you're able to travel with a foldable wheelchair on your trip, as long as you're traveling with someone who's willing to provide personal assistance. Guests wishing to travel with wheelchair need to be able to ascend/descend the coach steps several times a day. Their travelling companion must be able to assist them. Coaches have very limited space and weight restrictions in the luggage hold, so we are unable to accommodate more than one wheelchair per trip/tour. Wheelchairs will be accepted on a first come first served basis.
