Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    St. John's

Your Caribbean yacht adventure starts in St. John's where you'll transfer to your Emerald Cruises luxury yacht. The ship docks at 20:00, so you'll have time to get settled into your cabin before the evening departure. You can unpack, explore the yacht's facilities, and meet fellow passengers as you prepare to sail.

    Meals
    Dinner (Welcome Reception & Dinner)
  2. Day 2

    Barbuda

You'll spend the day at Barbuda, starting with Pink Sandy Beach where the sand has a distinctive coral-pink hue. The historic Martello Tower is worth climbing for views across the island and out to sea. If you're interested in local history, Codrington's colonial past comes alive through its architecture and old plantations. Two Foot Bay has cave systems with ancient petroglyphs carved into the rocks. There's an optional motorboat trip to the Frigate Bird Sanctuary where thousands of frigatebirds nest, making it one of the world's largest colonies.

    Meals
    Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

    Optional Activities

    • Explore Barbuda's vibrant history and modern life on guided tour starting at seaside jetty
    • Climb historic Martello Tower (32-foot tower built in early 1800s as British defence base)
    • Visit Codrington (founded 1685), learn about Beach's Rebellion (1741)
    • Explore Two Foot Bay cave featuring ancient Arawak petroglyphs with Atlantic Ocean cliff views
    • Motorboat trip to Frigate Bird Sanctuary (home to approximately 1,500 Frigate Birds)
    Landmarks/POIs

    Frigate Bird Sanctuary
    Two Foot Bay
  3. Day 3

    Îles des Saintes

You'll dock at Îles des Saintes, a small archipelago of eight islands with distinct French Caribbean character. The towns feature stone buildings and white-sand beaches that feel quiet and genuine. An optional tour takes you to Fort Napoleon, which has genuine historical significance and Princess Caroline Garden with views out over the islands. You can wander through the local village church and browse artisan boutiques selling handmade goods and local crafts.

    Meals
    Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

    Optional Activities

    • Guided tour departing from pier with drive past multi-coloured houses
    • Explore Fort Napoleon (originally built for defence against British invasions)

  4. Day 4

    Deshaies

The village of Deshaies offers a chance to experience Caribbean culture and natural scenery together. An optional tour called Tropical World Discovery takes you to a botanical garden just 10 minutes from the pier. You'll see wax roses, red ginger, bougainvillea, and orchids growing throughout the garden. It's a nice option if you want to learn about tropical plants or just spend time in a quieter setting away from the main town.

    Meals
    Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

    Optional Activities

    • Visit Botanical Garden in Deshaies created by Michel Gaillard
    • Explore exotic collections of flora including wax rose, fiery red ginger, vibrant bougainvillea, and graceful orchids
    Landmarks/POIs
    Botanical Garden Deshaies
  5. Day 5

    Saint-Barthélemy

Saint-Barth is a French island with mountainous terrain and pristine beaches, so the landscape itself is worth seeing. Gustavia, the main town, has narrow streets lined with jewelry shops, high-end fashion boutiques, and gourmet restaurants. You can choose an island driving tour to see more of the terrain and colonial estates, try snorkeling in the clear waters, or take a catamaran to explore nearby spots. Each option gives you a different angle on what the island offers.

    Meals
    Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

    Optional Activities

    • Driving tour around the island by private van with views of Colombier Viewpoint, Flamands Beach, St. Jean Bay, and Atlantic coast

Virgin Gorda's main draw is The Baths, a natural formation of massive granite boulders that create pools and grottoes between them. You have the choice between a standard excursion or the EmeraldACTIVE option if you want more in-depth exploration and information about how the boulders formed. Both include a refreshing fruit smoothie at the Top of the Baths. Later in the afternoon, the yacht sails toward Norman Island where you'll dock for the evening.

    Norman Island

Norman Island is uninhabited and the place that inspired Robert Louis Stevenson's 'Treasure Island'. You get pristine beaches, dramatic cliff formations, and clear turquoise water with good coral reefs for looking at. The yacht stays here so you can use the marina toys and swim in the calm waters off the ship. It's a quieter day with fewer organized activities, giving you time to relax or explore at your own pace.
