Itinerary
- Day 1
Siem Reap to Preah Vihear
Starting from Siem Reap, you'll head north on your motorcycle through a mix of paved roads and rough dirt trails. The initial ride takes you through small villages where you can stop and chat with locals before the terrain gets tougher. As you climb higher toward Preah Vihear Temple, expect steep grades and jungle surroundings that really test your riding skills. Once at the mountaintop temple, you'll walk around this UNESCO site and take in the views across Cambodia and Thailand. You'll spend the night at a local guesthouse near the temple.

- Day 2
Preah Vihear to Stung Treng
After breakfast, you're heading south toward Stung Treng on your bike. The route mixes dirt roads with countryside paths that wind through remote villages and forested patches. The landscape here is quiet and peaceful, quite different from the temple terrain you left behind. By afternoon you'll roll into this small riverside town on the Mekong. Depending on your energy level, you can check out the riverside markets or just relax by the water before turning in for the night.

Stung Treng to Banlung
Today you're riding deeper into Cambodia's northeast toward Banlung through jungle paths and off-road trails that keep things wild. Once there, you'll head to Yeak Laom Lake, a volcanic crater surrounded by thick jungle where you can swim and walk the trails around it. The water's clear and refreshing after a day of riding. The area has waterfalls and indigenous villages nearby if you want to explore the region's natural side and see how communities live here.

Banlung to Kratie
Leaving Banlung, you'll ride south along the Mekong River toward Kratie on riverside trails and dirt paths. The scenery changes as you move closer to town with views of the river and countryside. Kratie itself has a relaxed colonial feel, and you'll take a boat out to see the rare Irrawaddy dolphins in their natural habitat. After the ride and the boat tour, the laid-back riverside atmosphere here is the perfect place to kick back for the evening.

Kratie to Kampong Thom
From Kratie, you're riding southwest to Kampong Thom on off-road tracks through farming areas. You'll pass rice fields, small pagodas, and local markets that show you how rural Cambodia operates. Once you reach Kampong Thom, you'll visit Sambor Prei Kuk, an ancient temple complex that's actually older than Angkor. Walking around these temples gives you insight into Cambodia's history before the famous kingdom was built.

Kampong Thom to Siem Reap
On the final day, you're heading back to Siem Reap by motorcycle through rural roads and countryside paths. You'll make stops in small villages to spend time with locals and experience the hospitality Cambodia's known for. Arriving back in Siem Reap by late afternoon wraps up your six-day ride. The evening's yours to explore night markets or sit by the river thinking back on all the different landscapes, cultures, and riding challenges you've tackled.
