Arrival in Athens
After arriving at your hotel, you'll have time to settle in and get comfortable in your room. Stop by the information desk in the afternoon to check what's coming up on your tour and get oriented for tomorrow.

- Day 2
Athens City Tour
A local guide takes you through Athens starting with the Presidential Mansion and the Panathenaic Stadium, which hosted the first modern Olympics back in 1896. You'll see the National Library and walk through city center squares, then check out neighborhoods built after the 2004 Olympics. Before heading to the Acropolis, there's time to take in the views. Later that evening, head over to Plaka, the historic neighborhood where you'll have free time to wander and grab dinner on your own.

- Day 3
Northern Greece to Meteora
Leave early and drive north toward Kamena Vourla, a seaside town surrounded by nice landscapes. Stop at Thermopylae Mountain Pass, the historical battle site from ancient times. After that, walk around Kastraki village with valley views and have lunch when you're ready. In the afternoon, you'll reach Meteora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and get admission to one of the monasteries there. Dinner happens back in Kalabaka once the day winds down.

- Day 4
Delphi to Hosios Loukas Monastery
Travel south through the Thessaly region with beautiful landscapes until you reach Delphi, an archaeological site overlooking the Gulf of Corinth. After grabbing lunch, visit the Hosios Loukas Monastery, a World Heritage Site with impressive 11th-century Byzantine mosaics inside. The drive back to Athens takes place in the evening, so you'll have time to settle in before nightfall.

- Day 5
Saronic Islands and Epidaurus
Early morning ferry from the hotel takes you to Aegina, an island with over 4,000 years of history. Explore the harbor, traditional neighborhoods, old churches, or the Temple of Apollo if those interest you. From there, another ferry goes to Poros where you'll have free time for lunch. Later, ferry to Galatas and then travel by road through scenic hillside areas to Epidaurus. Check out the Ancient Theatre built 2,400 years ago that still hosts performances. End the day in Nafplio, a coastal city with a citadel and fortress, where you'll have free time before dinner.

- Day 6
Peloponnese to Patras
Head across the Peloponnese mountains to Tripoli, the Arcadia region's capital, where you'll have time to walk around Areos Square and stop at cafes. Continue to Olympia to see the Archaeological Site of the first Olympic Games from 776 BC, including the Temple of Zeus, Stadium, and Gymnasium. Later, travel to Patras, Greece's third-largest city and major port overlooked by a medieval fortress. You'll see the country's largest cathedral and the Church of St. Andrew. Dinner's included.

- Day 7
Greece to Italy by Ferry
After breakfast, cross the Rio-Antirrio suspension bridge connecting the Peloponnese to mainland Greece. Travel through Central Greece and Epirus to reach Igoumenitsa, a port town where you'll have time for a walk. Board a modern ferry at 2:00 PM and sail across the Ionian Sea. You'll arrive in Brindisi, Italy by 9:00 PM for an overnight stay.

- Day 8
Brindisi to Alberobello to Matera to Naples
Start in Alberobello, known for its unique cone-shaped trulli houses and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue to Matera in Basilicata, a region famous for its ancient historic center and Sassi di Matera, dwellings carved into rock from thousands of years ago. Lunch is included here. After that, travel through beautiful mountain landscapes toward Naples, arriving in the evening with free time to explore the city.

Naples to Capri to Sorrento to Salerno
After breakfast, head to Naples port and take a ferry to Capri. Use the funicular to get up to Capri town and spend time walking around with nice views. Have lunch, then board again for Sorrento, a charming tourist town at the base of a cliff where you'll have free time to wander around. The day ends at the Gulf of Salerno where you'll stay overnight.

Salerno to Sicily
Travel south through beautiful southern Italian scenery and Cilento National Park to reach Paola on the Tyrrhenian Sea. Visit the Sanctuary of St. Francis of Paola and have free time for lunch in the historic center. From there, head to Villa San Giovanni and take a short ferry crossing to Sicily. When you arrive in Messina, there's time to walk around the cathedral. Continue to Taormina where dinner is included for the night.

Spend your day in Taormina, located at the foot of Mount Etna. Walk through the historic quarter with its Greek theater and the views it offers. If you want to relax, there's a beach available. Dinner is included in the evening.

Catania to Caltagirone to Villa Romana del Casale to Agrigento
Travel to Catania, a Greek-founded city with a beautiful baroque center despite its volcanic past. Head to Caltagirone, a UNESCO World Heritage city in central Sicily. Ride the tourist train and walk through streets lined with famous Sicilian ceramics. After lunch, visit Villa Romana del Casale with admission and a tour included, which has incredibly well-preserved Roman mosaics. Continue to Agrigento with views of the Valley of the Temples from the coach. Dinner is included.

A local guide takes you through the Valley of the Temples, an archaeological site with the most complete complex of Greek temples (admission included). Head to Marsala, a historic city known for its wine and lively feel, with time for lunch. After that, drive around scenic Marsala salt pans to Erice, a charming Phoenician town overlooking the sea where you can stroll around. The day ends in Palermo with dinner included.

Palermo to Night Ferry
After breakfast, transfer to Monreale to see the Arab-Norman cathedral, a World Heritage Site with magnificent golden mosaics inside (tickets included). Return to Palermo to visit the Cathedral (tickets included) and the Norman Palace with its Palatine Chapel. You'll have free time in the afternoon to explore on your own. In the evening, board a modern night ferry with double cabins that have en suite bathrooms.

Arrive in Naples early morning. Travel to Pompeii where a local expert guides you through the ancient Roman city buried by Mount Vesuvius (admission and tour included). Afterward, explore Naples itself, one of Italy's most fascinating cities and among Europe's oldest inhabited places. The historic center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You'll have time for lunch and a walk before arriving in Rome.
