Kathmandu
Your Sherpa Expedition & Trekking representative meets you at the airport and drives you to your hotel in Thamel, Kathmandu's main tourist area. You'll get a quick overview of what to expect from the trek and have a chance to ask any questions before settling in.

Landmarks/POIs Thamel - Day 2
Kathmandu to Pokhara
After pickup from your hotel, you head to the tourist bus station for the drive to Pokhara, Nepal's second-largest city. The journey gives you views of the Annapurna range, Machapuchare, Dhaulagiri, Lamjung Himal, and Manaslu as you travel. You'll stay near Lakeside, right by Phewa Tal lake.

Pokhara to Ghandruk
A 3-hour drive takes you from Pokhara to Kimche via Nayapul and Birethanti checkpoint, then you start trekking. You walk through the villages of Sauli Bazaar and Chane before crossing the Khumnu Khola river and reaching Ghandruk, a Gurung settlement. The mountain views from here are really something, and you'll spend the night at a guesthouse.

Ghandruk to Ghorepani
The trek runs for about 2 hours to Ulleri, passing through Banthanti, a Magar village with views toward Machapuchare, Hiunchuli, and Annapurna South. After that, you walk through rhododendron forest, cross a small bridge, and reach Ghorepani. From here you can see Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Annapurna I.

Ghorepani to Tadapani
Before sunrise, you trek for 1 hour up to Poon Hill at 3,210 meters for incredible views of snow-capped peaks in the morning light. Back in Ghorepani, you have breakfast and then climb along ridges through rhododendron and pine forests to Deurali. From there, you head downhill to Banthanti crossroads and continue to Tadapani for the night.

Tadapani to Ghandruk
This is a lighter trekking day through oak and rhododendron forest with alpine flowers, leading to Ghandruk, a Sherpa village. The views of Annapurna South, Gangapurna, Machapuchare, Annapurna III, and Hiunchuli are great from the trail. Once there, you can check out the cultural museum and Buddhist monastery in this village with its stone houses.

Ghandruk to Birethanti
Your last day of trekking starts with climbing up through Ghandruk's teahouses, then you follow a stony path through terraced farmland. The route continues along the Modi Khola river banks for a few hours before reaching Birethanti, where you drive back to Pokhara.

Pokhara to Kathmandu
You travel back to Kathmandu by tourist bus or private vehicle depending on group size and get settled at your hotel near Thamel. Later in the evening, you can walk around Thamel and pick up souvenirs before you head out the next day.

Departure
A Sherpa Expedition & Trekking representative picks you up 3 hours before your flight and takes you to the airport. On the way, you'll have time to think back on the Annapurna region and what you saw over the past days.
