Only 4 rooms had safes and only 1 worked. Beds were mostly hard. Our group was too big, 42 travelers and too hard to keep track of. There was an extreme amount of difficult walking. Optional excursions can simply be booked during the tour with your tour leader. A few excursions do require pre-booking, but these can only be added to your booking once you are within 90 days of departure. Pre-booking is not yet possible but you can check which ones require pre-booking later. Your tour leader will go through all the available options with the group at the start of the tour, and you'll be able to confirm your interest and pay then, either in local cash or by credit card.

It's no longer necessary for your travel insurance to specifically include COVID-related isolation, but ideally your policy should cover trip cancellation and interruption, medical assistance and repatriation, and lost or damaged baggage to ensure you're well protected during your travels.

Many of the cities you visit are vast and old, often with steps and cobblestones. For the non-Schengen countries — North Macedonia, Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia, and Bulgaria — many of them generally allow Indian passport holders with a valid multiple-entry Schengen visa or UK residency to enter for short stays (typically up to 15–30 days), depending on the specific country's policy.
