    · August 11th, 2025
Overall, the trip was a great experience, with a solid itinerary and some excellent guides. Most of the tour guides were knowledgeable and helpful, but a special shoutout goes to Pablo Rubio and Matias, who really stood out with their kindness, helpfulness, professionalism and enthusiasm. They made the experience much more enjoyable and informative. That said, some aspects of the trip were a bit of a hit or miss. Hotels varied widely in quality — some were nice, comfortable and well-located, while others left much to be desired. It's something to keep in mind when booking or reviewing your itinerary in advance. Shuttle buses were mostly okay, but one major issue was the way seating was handled. Selling out the entire bus led to a very uncomfortable experience, especially on long travel days. We spent 8 hours packed in a full bus, stuck in the last row in the middle seat of a five-seat row that didn't recline — with little personal space and surrounded by fellow travelers, a whole family of whom had strong body odor. It made for a pretty miserable ride. Another area that needs improvement is laundry support. On a longer trip like this, doing laundry is essential, yet we received little to no help when asking for timing, facilities or nearby options. We were told to check with local guides, but since those change frequently and each hotel is different, we ended up with no clear guidance and a bit of a mess trying to figure it out ourselves. The daily schedule was also quite intense. Most days started between 6–7 AM and we wouldn’t get back to the hotel until 8–9 PM. From there, we still had to find dinner and didn’t get to bed until 11 or 12. For shorter trips is perfectly fine but for longer trips is something to keep in mind. By the end of the trip, we were definitely feeling the exhaustion. Despite the challenges, the trip was memorable and we’re glad we went. With some logistical improvements — especially in transportation comfort, laundry options, and better pacing — it could go from good to great.
