Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu
You'll land at Tribhuvan International Airport and head to your hotel in central Kathmandu. After checking in and freshening up, the afternoon is yours to walk through Durbar Square and visit Swayambhunath Temple, both filled with history and local activity. In the evening, join the group for dinner where you'll meet your fellow trekkers and guides.

- Day 2
Kathmandu to Pokhara
A flight from Kathmandu takes you to Pokhara, with views of the Himalayan range visible during the journey. Once at your lakeside hotel, spend the afternoon however suits you—rent a boat on Phewa Lake, check out the International Museum about Himalayan mountaineering, or just sit and take in the view of Machhapuchhre Peak across the water.

Pokhara to Hille
After breakfast, you'll drive through Modi Khola Valley past local villages and terraced farmland. The trek begins with a modest uphill section to Hille village, where rhododendron forests surround you. This is prime territory for spotting birds like pheasants. You'll have a local meal and sleep at a guesthouse in the village (elevation gain about 2,000 feet).

Hille to Dobang
The path winds through dense rhododendron forests, particularly colorful if you're trekking in spring. As you climb higher, the Annapurna range becomes visible in the distance. By afternoon, you'll reach Dobang village with its traditional stone houses. There's time to walk around and talk with locals about how they live at this altitude.

Landmarks Annapurna Range - Day 5
Dobang to Machhapuchhre Base Camp
You'll trek through high meadows filled with wildflowers, potentially seeing yaks and herders with their livestock. Machhapuchhre Peak (Fishtail) becomes more prominent on the horizon as elevation increases. By day's end, you reach Machhapuchhre Base Camp where you'll set up camp and take in the surrounding peaks (approximately 11,000 feet).

- Day 6
Acclimatization Day at MBC
Today is devoted to letting your body adjust to the higher altitude. Short treks around camp let you see the local landscape and wildlife without pushing too hard. Your guides teach basic mountaineering techniques and show you the nearby icefall. This acclimatization day is important for preparing for the summit attempt on Dhampus Peak.

MBC to Bagarchhap
Climbing continues along a clear trail through alpine meadows with wildflowers dotting the landscape. The air gets thinner as you go higher, so pacing yourself matters. You'll reach Bagarchhap campsite at an even greater elevation with views across the Himalayan range. Rest and prepare for tomorrow's summit attempt (around 13,500 feet).

Bagarchhap to Dhampus Peak Base Camp
A challenging day takes you through rocky moraine fields where loose gravel and stones require careful footing. The views of surrounding peaks keep you motivated. Reaching Dhampus Peak Base Camp feels significant after the difficult terrain. You'll set up camp here and get ready for the early start tomorrow (approximately 15,000 feet).

Landmarks Dhampus Peak - Day 9
Dhampus Peak Summit Day
You'll wake before dawn and use headlamps to climb steep snowy slopes with crampons and ice axes. As light breaks, the sunrise colors the Himalayas in shades of gold and red. At the summit of Dhampus Peak (6,012 meters/19,728 feet), views stretch to Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and Manaslu. After photos and time at the top, the descent continues to Yak Kharka where you can rest and celebrate the achievement.

Yak Kharka to Marpha
The descent leads through rocky moraine with glaciers visible clinging to the mountainsides above. Later, you'll arrive at Marpha village, known for its apple orchards and local products like apple cider and brandy. Exploring the village and trying local foods fills the afternoon. Sleep at a local guesthouse after a day of steadily losing elevation.

Landmarks Marpha - Day 11
Marpha to Jomsom to Pokhara
A drive through Kali Gandaki Gorge, the world's deepest gorge, shows you towering cliffs rising beside the river. You'll reach Jomsom, a busy town at the gateway to Mustang region. Time allows for exploring the marketplace or visiting Muktinath Temple, sacred to both Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims. Depending on weather, either fly back to Pokhara with aerial views of the major peaks, or drive back through the valleys to complete your adventure.

Pokhara to Kathmandu
After breakfast, free time in Pokhara lets you do final shopping or explore areas you missed. Transfer to the airport for your flight back to Kathmandu. The evening includes a farewell dinner arranged by Trek Mania Nepal where you'll reflect on the trek with guides and fellow trekkers.
