Itinerary
- Day 1
Rabat - Meknes - Fes
Start by checking out Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, which sits right on the Atlantic Ocean with great views. From there, head to Rabat where you'll walk through the Chellah necropolis, see Hassan Tower, and visit the Mausoleum of Mohammed V. Later in the day, you'll pass through the Roman ruins at Volubilis before continuing to Meknes. By evening, you'll arrive in Fes and settle in at your riad for dinner.

Fes
You'll spend the day exploring Fes with a local guide who knows the city well. Starting at the Blue Gate (Bab Boujloud), you'll wind through the medieval medina's tight alleys and busy souks. The guide will take you through the Jewish quarter (Mellah), show you the Royal Palace gate, and then hike up to an old hilltop fortress for views across the city. You'll also see 12th-century ceramic work, walk through Souk Seffarine and Medersa Bou Inania, pass by the world's oldest university and Mosque of Quaraouin. Back at your riad in the evening, you'll have a traditional meal.

Fes to Merzouga
After breakfast, you'll leave Fes heading south and the landscape changes noticeably as you go. The drive takes you through the Middle Atlas to Ifrane, known as the 'Moroccan Swiss city,' then into one of the world's largest cedar forests where you can see and feed Barbary apes. Lunch happens in Midelt as the scenery shifts from green to desert tones. You'll pass through Errachidia before reaching Merzouga desert by afternoon. At sunset, you'll ride a camel across the golden dunes, then head to your desert camp for dinner under the stars with Berber music and a campfire.

Merzouga to Boumaln Dades
The morning starts with watching the sunrise over the Sahara, then you'll have breakfast before driving to Boumalne Dades Gorge. Along the way, you'll learn about ancient underground irrigation canals (khetaras) built by Berber tribes between the 11th and 14th centuries. Lunch is at a traditional restaurant, and after passing through Tinghir, you'll reach the Dades Gorge with its impressive canyon walls. You can walk along the gorge, see the unique sandcastle architecture in palm oases, and visit the 'Monkey Toes' viewpoint for panoramic views before dinner at your riad.

After breakfast, you'll travel through Kalaat M'Gouna, a village known for its Rose Festival, and visit women's cooperatives that make natural perfumes. Next, you'll head to Ouarzazate, called the 'Hollywood of Morocco,' to see the Atlas Studios where famous films like Game of Thrones and Gladiator were made. Lunch is at Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site with historical grandeur. From there, you'll drive through the Ounilla Valley past clay and mud houses, cross the High Atlas Mountains, and arrive in Marrakech for dinner at your riad.

Marrakech to Casablanca
After breakfast, you'll take a 4-hour guided tour through Marrakech's old medina, visiting Bahia Palace, Medersa Ben Youssef, and Koutoubia Mosque, then browsing the colorful souks before returning to your riad. Later, you'll depart Marrakech with your driver heading either to Casablanca Airport or to your hotel in Casablanca, depending on what works for your plans.
