Itinerary
- Day 1
Lyon
Your tour guides welcome you aboard at Lyon's dock by 4 pm. After you settle into your cabin, there's an introduction to what the tour has in store for you. The ship pushes off at 6 pm, and that evening you'll take a panoramic cruise through Lyon's old town to see the historic landmarks and charming streets lit up against the night sky.

Tain-l'Hermitage to Valence
This morning starts with your first cycling tour along the Rhone from Tain-l'Hermitage toward the Roche de Glun island near Valence. You'll pass the hydroelectric dam, spot the 14th century Diane de Poitiers tower, and cross the Marc Seguin footbridge. There's time to taste the famous Valrhona chocolate that the town is known for. By afternoon, you're back on the ship relaxing on the sun deck as it heads south.

Avignon
After breakfast, e-bikes wait for you at the Avignon pier. You'll cycle through fruit and vegetable farms to reach Chateauneuf-du-Pape for lunch and a wine tasting. On the return, you pass one of the Rhone's largest islands and make your way to the iconic Pont d'Avignon. Later there's a city tour through Avignon's medieval sections, then free time to wander the narrow streets after dinner. The ship stays docked here overnight.

- Day 4
Arles
The ship docks in Arles by morning. You'll cycle to St. Remy de Provence where Vincent Van Gogh stayed at a private clinic, then have lunch before heading to the Carrieres de Lumieres art center in the Alpilles mountains. From there, you cycle back through Provencal villages and sunflower fields to Arles. Evening brings a chance to see the Roman amphitheater and Saint Trophime Cathedral or check out the famous Cafe de la Nuit.

Camargue
E-bikes take you from Arles onto the Via Rhone toward the Camargue, a marshland area in the Rhone Delta. You'll ride through salt mountains and rice fields while spotting rare birds, flamingos, and possibly the white Camargue horses. There's a walk through Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer before you get transferred back to the ship in the late afternoon.

Ardèche Gorge
Your e-bikes head to the Ardeche Gorge, which has some of the most beautiful cycling routes on this tour. The guide talks about the UNESCO World Heritage cave systems and Stone Age settlements in the area. You cycle through lavender fields and holm oak forests with panoramic views of the gorge's 300-meter-deep river-carved cliffs. Back on the ship by afternoon, you can relax on the sundeck or use the onboard spa.

Lyon
A leisurely late breakfast happens while the ship sails back to Lyon. In the afternoon, there's a city tour covering Lyon, which sits where the Saone meets the Rhone. You'll see Renaissance houses in St. Jean with their hidden traboules corridors and learn about the city's complex history of religious and political tensions. Museums here display works by Gauguin and Cezanne if you want to check those out.

Departure from Lyon
After breakfast on board, you disembark around 9 am and the tour ends. If you flew in, airport transfer can be arranged for an additional fee. Those with a rental car can get help coordinating the drive to the parking garage.
