Amsterdam
You're arriving in Amsterdam and your ship is ready for boarding by 5 pm. The day is yours to spend however you'd like exploring the city. There's also an optional guided excursion to Zaanse Schans if you want to see the historic windmills and traditional Dutch houses before heading back to the ship.

Amsterdam
Your Adventure Host has two guided options for you today. You can either take a walking tour through the cobblestone streets off the typical tourist path, or hop on a canal cruise to see the stately homes from Amsterdam's Golden Age. Later in the afternoon there's time to join more optional excursions or wander the vibrant streets and galleries on your own. You'll depart for Nijmegen by afternoon or evening.

Nijmegen - Arnhem
Starting in Nijmegen, you can bike through the Ooijpolder Nature Reserve or take a guided tour of the historic city and its 2,000 years of Roman history plus WWII sites. After that, lunch happens during a short cruise to Arnhem. Once there, choose between a guided tour focusing on Operation Market Garden and war memorials with herb and vegetable tastings at a medieval castle, or visit the Airborne Museum of Hartenstein.

Your Adventure Host offers three choices in Cologne. Take a guided walk through the Belgian Quarter to see the creative side of the city, do a hands-on chocolate museum tour with tastings (5,000 years of chocolate history), or walk past the iconic twin-steepled cathedral. Free time lets you grab a local Kölsch pale lager. Later, local musicians perform live music onboard before you cruise overnight to Rüdesheim.

Rüdesheim
You'll sail through the Rhine Gorge UNESCO World Heritage site, seeing castles perched 400 feet above the water and passing the legendary Rock of the Lorelei. In Rüdesheim, choose to hike through vineyards with your host, take an open-air cable car to the Niederwald Monument and walk back with Rüdesheimer coffee tasting, or tour the Mechanical Music Museum with coffee. Then you cruise overnight toward Frankfurt.

Speyer - Heidelberg
Three options today with your Adventure Host. Walk Heidelberg's Philosophers' Way, take a guided tour of Speyer's imperial Cathedral (a major Romanesque building), or visit Heidelberg Castle to see the Renaissance ruins and the Great Vat, the world's largest wine barrel. Later you cruise overnight toward Strasbourg.

In Strasbourg, your host can guide you by bike or on foot through the city to see the Gothic cathedral with its stained-glass, the astronomical clock, and La Petite France. Afternoon options include a guided tour of the historic Maginot Line (pre-WWII fortifications), Alsace wine country, museums, or just wandering through the center. You'll cruise overnight to Breisach later.

There's also an optional guided excursion to Colmar to see the half-timbered medieval and Renaissance buildings. You'll cruise overnight to Basel by evening.
