You'll arrive in Dublin and connect with a local expert who helps you get your bearings around the city. The day involves walking through Georgian squares, heading down O'Connell Street, and checking out the Custom House along the way. St. Patrick's Cathedral is next on your list, one of Ireland's biggest churches with roots going back to the 1100s and a fascinating past that includes Jonathan Swift's time as Dean. You'll wrap up the evening with dinner to mark your arrival.

- Day 2
Dublin to Kilkenny
You start at the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin, where you'll learn how Guinness came to be and hear the story of Arthur Guinness's 9,000-year lease on St. James's Gate Brewery, including a tasting. After that, you head to Kilkenny, a medieval city. An orientation walk takes you through the Medieval Mile with its tight lanes filled with Irish arts and crafts. Kilkenny Castle comes next, a major structure built after the Norman conquest and continuously rebuilt over 800 years.

- Day 3
Kilkenny to Killarney
You'll visit Blarney Castle and its grounds, where the famous Blarney Stone sits, made from 330-million-year-old limestone. Kissing the stone is the tradition, supposedly giving you the 'gift of the gab.' Then you head to Killarney, the main town for exploring the Ring of Kerry. It's been welcoming visitors for over 250 years with woodlands and lakes all around. Your Travel Director gives you an orientation tour, and the day finishes with a dine-around dinner featuring local food.

- Day 4
Killarney
Your morning in Killarney offers a choice between two activities. You can either take a horse-drawn jaunting car ride with local jarveys or go for a gentle walk along the lake shore with a local expert, passing by 15th-century Ross Castle. Later, you'll drive the Ring of Kerry, famous for its 'forty shades of green.' The route hugs the coast with beaches, colorful villages, and Atlantic Ocean views that inspired writers and poets for centuries.

Killarney to Galway
A ferry ride from Tarbert to Killimer gets you close to the towering Cliffs of Moher. You'll take in views of the Clare Coast and the Atlantic pounding below, where puffins nest in the rock crevices. The Exhibition Center fills in details about the cliffs' geology and history. From there, you drive through the Burren's rocky terrain to Galway Bay. Your Travel Director leads an orientation tour when you arrive. An optional walking tour in the afternoon covers the Lynch Memorial, Church of St. Nicholas, Spanish Arch, and Eyre Square. Dinner with live music finishes the day.

Galway
This day is yours to explore Galway however you like. The city is Ireland's cultural and festival hub, hosting 122 festivals throughout the year. It has a fun, bohemian feel and a strong artistic character. Galway also has a connection to actor Peter O'Toole, who claimed it as his birthplace and later built a house outside Clifden in the county.

Galway to Sligo
You'll travel to the seaside town of Westport, where a local expert leads a food walk so you can taste local specialties while learning about the town from its 5,000-year history to now. Westport House is a heritage museum showing 300 years of Irish life, and you'll also see a stone bridge, Rockfleet Castle, and Burrishoole Abbey connected to 16th-century pirate queen Grace O'Malley. Then it's on to Sligo, a town whose name means 'abounding in shells.' An orientation tour introduces you to the town. An optional Sligo Drive along scenic bay shores is available in the afternoon.

You'll head out to Rosses Point, a small maritime village near Sligo, with a local expert and maritime archaeologist to explore the area's maritime heritage. That building sits in central Sligo and serves as a hub for literary culture and the arts, with exhibits focused on poet William Butler Yeats and the landscape that inspired his work.
