The tour was very enjoyable. We had a wonderful time. It would have been helpful to have had access to the G Adventures app however. Some of the long travel days were not disclosed on our itinerary but others on the tour were aware through the app.

Great Tour. It gives you a great insight on what Mexico is all about and has to offer besides Playa del Carmen, which is probably one of the most know and visited places in Mexico. Colorful cities such as Puebla and Oaxaca, beautiful Ruins and stunning nature in Palenque and so much more. Bare in mind that you have to spend some more money on food (which has a big variety in Mexico) and optional activites.

What a lovely two weeks with Kevin and the group! Great people, food and a very culturally enriching itinerary. Even in a place as touristy as Playa del Carmen they took us to see the real side of the community and learn about El Hongo, one of the highlights of the trip for me.

Who provides transportation to & from these optional locations? What is the maximum group size? Is a large bus used? How often are toilet stops planned?

    Group size
    Transport
    • G AdventuresOperatorWritten August 2025

For the optional tours as there are different suppliers for these and typically it would be a private shuttle van that picks you up at the hotel and drops you off. The tour leader in destination would assist with these specific questions depending on the activity. The Maximum group size for the tour is 16 (for optional activities this could really vary). Within the tour details description here is information on the transportation used for the tour: The majority of the transportation will be via first class buses. While efficient and comfortable, these buses tend to be over air-conditioned. to ensure a comfortable journey, we recommend that our travellers bring an extra layer to cover up including socks onto these buses. For bathroom breaks on longer travel days they would stop every couple of hours (or if you require a stop earlier then you would just let the tour leader know and they can assist).

      TravelerWritten April 2025

please can you advise when your next sale is going to happen?

    • G AdventuresOperatorWritten April 2025

Our sales are usually ongoing, month to month - they often cover different regions / continents, or times of the year. This particular tour may not go on sale in the future, sadly we are not given any advance notice of this, so if you do want to wait for a specific date to go on sale it would just be a case of checking at the start of each month. That being said, we offer small group tours so the tour could have become full by the time it does go on sale so it is generally best to book in advance to avoid disappointment.

      1. What airline do you use to fly from Oaxaca to Villahermosa? 2. Is there a similar tour that does not require flying? 3. How many people are generally on the tour?

    • G AdventuresOperatorWritten February 2025

The internal flights are with Aeromexico. The maximum group size for our tours is 16 with an average of 12 travellers.

Since I am a solo traveler, I was wondering if I would receive my own room or if I would have to share a room with another traveler on this tour.

    • G AdventuresOperatorWritten March 2025

As a solo traveller you will share a room with another traveller on the tour who is the same gender as yourself. However, there is an option to have your own room with an additional price of $1219.

The Classic Mexico Tour is advertised as $2153 per person but each trip is priced at $2400. Please advise.

    • G AdventuresOperatorWritten January 2025

We have a sale on few of our departures, the price after the sale is $2159 USD on Departures from July 2025 - Sep 2025. The price would be different from one date to another, for example March and April are $2499, May and June 2025 are $2399.

Can I have my own room? Sharing with a stranger is not an option.

My Own Room can be added to tour for an additional supplement, however please note it would need to be requested. What currency would you like a quote in? This means after payment it would take us 2-3 business days to check on the availability in order to confirm it. We would be able to note to your file that the My Own Room is non negoti8able for the confirmation of this tour.
