Itinerary
- Day 1
Tangier
Your driver picks you up at Tangier airport and takes you to your accommodation. From there, you'll spend the day checking out the city's main spots like Cape Spartel, where you can see where the Atlantic and Mediterranean meet, and the Hercules Caves with their natural rock formations. The old kasbah gives you a sense of the city's history. Grab lunch or dinner at one of the scenic restaurants overlooking the water.

Tangier to Chefchaouen
You'll drive through Tetouan first, a whitewashed city that's quite different from what you've seen so far. After that, head toward Chefchaouen, and the landscape transforms as you approach the blue-painted mountain village. Spend your time wandering the narrow alleys, peeking into small shops and coffee houses, finding the sacred water source, and visiting the historic mosque. The old town square is great for just sitting and watching daily life happen around you.

Chefchaouen to Fes
After a traditional breakfast, you'll travel back in time to Volubilis, the 3rd-century Roman capital. Walking through the site, you'll see preserved mosaics and ancient houses that show how advanced the Romans were here, even with their sewer systems. You'll pass through Meknes on the way, then arrive in Fes by evening to settle into your accommodation.

Fes
Fes is an 8th-century city with serious history, so you'll get panoramic views from high points around town. See the royal residence and the Jewish Quarter to understand different parts of the city's makeup. The ancient University of Al-Qarawiyyin is worth your time, and you shouldn't miss the traditional ceramic and leather workshops where artisans still work by hand. Exploring the old medina on foot takes patience, but you'll find historic sites tucked throughout.

Fes to Merzouga
After breakfast, you're heading south through the Middle Atlas toward Ifrane. Stop in one of the world's largest cedar forests where you can see and feed Barbary apes. Lunch happens in Midelt, then you'll pass through Errachidia. By late afternoon, you'll be riding camels across the Sahara dunes at sunset. Arriving at your desert camp, you'll have dinner and listen to Berber music around a campfire under the stars.

Merzouga
After breakfast, spend your day exploring the Sahara properly. You'll visit fossil sites and meet Berber nomad families to learn about their history and how they live. Sit with them for mint tea in their tents, then have a picnic lunch in the open air. Back at camp, you'll have time to shower and rest. Late in the day, explore the dunes again at sunset, then return for dinner and tea.

Landmarks/POIs Merzouga Desert - Day 7
Merzouga to Boumalne Dades
Watch the sunrise over the dunes before breakfast. Then you're driving back toward Boumalne Dades Gorge, stopping to see ancient underground irrigation canals from the 11th-14th centuries. Lunch is at a traditional restaurant, after which you'll walk alongside the water in Dades Gorge canyon to see the old Sandcastle in the palm oasis. The panoramic views from above are worth the climb, and you'll arrive at your Riad for dinner.

Boumalne Dades to Marrakech
After breakfast, you'll journey through Kalaat Magouna village, known for its rose festival. Spend some time exploring women's cooperatives making natural perfumes. Continue to Ouarzazate and visit Atlas Studios, where they've filmed Game of Thrones and Gladiator. See Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and have lunch there. You'll drive through Ounilla Valley with its panoramic scenery, cross the High Atlas Mountains, and reach Marrakech by dinner.

Marrakech
Marrakech is called the Red City and it was the last imperial capital. After breakfast, head into the old medina to see Bahia Palace, Medersa Ben Youssef, and Koutoubia Mosque. The souks are packed with activity. Jamaa el Fnaa square is where storytellers, snake charmers, and henna artists gather, so you'll spend time there for sure. Have lunch at a nice restaurant, and in the evening explore the temporary restaurants setting up to serve barbecued dishes and soups.

Marrakech to Tangier
You'll leave your Riad and travel to Casablanca, the largest city, to see the impressive Hassan II Mosque, which is open to non-Muslims. Then drive to Rabat, the current capital, where you can see Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and Kasbah of the Udayas. By evening you're back in Tangier, and you'll have time to reflect on everything you've experienced over this tour.
