Nairobi to Arusha
The drive takes you across the semi-arid lands where the Maasai people live, heading from Lando to Arusha, Tanzania. Along the way, you'll catch views of Mount Kilimanjaro rising in the distance as the vehicle crosses the Kenya-Tanzania border.

Arusha to Serengeti
You'll head into the Serengeti on safari drives in 7-seat 4x4 vehicles, passing golden plains covered with thorny acacia trees. This kicks off a 3-day, 2-night excursion that takes you through the park and eventually to Ngorongoro Crater, so keep your eyes open for wildlife.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro
The final morning in the Serengeti starts early as the sun rises and animals become active. After breaking down camp, you'll travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and set up near the crater rim by late afternoon. Spend the rest of the day taking in the views and surroundings.

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
Start early and head down to the crater floor for one last safari through Ngorongoro. You'll search for wildlife across the grasslands, swamps, and acacia forests, with a good chance to spot animals around Lake Makat. By late morning, you'll exit the crater and begin the drive back to Arusha, taking in the landscape as you travel.

Arusha to Bagamoyo
The drive heads early in the morning toward the Indian Ocean, taking in varied landscapes along the way. You'll have free time to walk the narrow, unpaved streets on your own.

Bagamoyo to Zanzibar
Starting in Bagamoyo, you'll drive to Dar es Salaam and catch the ferry to Zanzibar. This Tanzanian archipelago is where the group will spend the next few days relaxing on sandy beaches and soaking up the island atmosphere.

Zanzibar to Stone Town
You'll travel back to Stone Town from your beach resort on the other side of the island. On the way, there's a stop at a spice plantation, and then you'll spend time wandering through the historic alleyways in the oldest part of Zanzibar.

Zanzibar to Baobab Valley
After leaving the island behind, you'll catch the ferry back to Dar es Salaam and climb into the Lando for the drive inland toward the mountains. By evening you'll reach the group campsite in Baobab Valley where you can watch the stars come out.

Baobab Valley to Iringa
You'll spend most of this day on the road in the Lando traveling to Iringa. Once you arrive, there's a visit to a crafts center that supports the local community, giving you a chance to see local artisans at work.

Lusaka Area to Victoria Falls

Victoria Falls
You've got the full day to spend however you'd like around Victoria Falls. The area has tons of adventure options if that's your style, or you can take things slower and just soak it all in. Whitewater rafting on the Zambezi is intense, helicopter flights give you a whole different perspective of the falls, and bungee jumping right over the water is definitely the adrenaline rush kind of thing. You can book most activities when you get there, though pre-booking some experiences beforehand takes the guesswork out of availability.

The falls themselves are genuinely massive, so there's a lot to do and see whether you're chasing thrills or just taking it easy.

Victoria Falls to Kasane

Gweta to Maun
Watch the sunrise from your camp beneath the huge baobab trees before heading out. The Lando takes you to Maun where the group sets up camp in a serene setting. During your free time, you can choose to pre-book a scenic helicopter ride through the Delta if interested.

Maun to Okavango Delta
Early morning you'll leave Maun in an open 4x4 safari vehicle and head into the Okavango Delta to reach a basic bush camp. Once you settle in, you'll go birdwatching from a traditional mokoro (that's a dugout canoe). Later in the afternoon you take a sunset nature walk, then return to camp. The evening wraps up around the campfire with the sounds of the delta around you.
