- Day 1
Amman
You'll arrive in Amman at whatever time works for your flight. There's nothing scheduled today, so take the time to settle in and rest up after traveling. If you need it, arrange an airport transfer from Queen Alia International Airport (about 30 minutes from the city). Your Explore Leader will be ready to meet you tomorrow morning at the hotel for a welcome meeting.

- Day 2
Amman to Ajloun to Jerash
After breakfast and an introductory meeting, you'll start with a guided tour of Amman itself. Then head north to Ajloun to see the medieval Ajloun Castle sitting on a hilltop with views across the Jordan Valley. Lunch happens at a women-owned café, and from there you'll continue to Jerash, the ancient Roman city where you can walk through colonnaded streets, check out temples, wander the chariot-racing stadium, and hear your voice echo in the old theatre.

- Day 3
Amman and Madaba
This morning starts at the Citadel Jabal al-Qal'a for views over Amman, then you'll see the Roman Theatre and Blue Mosque (depending on prayer times). After that, explore the downtown souk with its winding streets and historic sections like the Roman Temple of Hercules pillars and parts of the Umayyad Palace. In the afternoon, travel to Mount Nebo for views of the Dead Sea, Bethlehem, and Jerusalem. By evening you'll reach Madaba, known as the 'City of Mosaics', where you can see Byzantine-era mosaics including the famous 6th-century map of Jerusalem.

- Day 4
Madaba to Petra
Leave Madaba and head toward Petra, stopping at Kerak Castle to explore this ancient Crusader stronghold and learn about its medieval past. Once you arrive at Petra, you can either wander the archaeological site at your own pace or relax by the hotel's rooftop pool overlooking the canyon entrance. Later, join a Bedouin cookery demonstration where you'll learn to make traditional Makloubah (an upside-down dish) and Um Ali dessert, followed by dinner.

- Day 5
Petra
After an early breakfast, take a guided orientation tour of Petra's key areas. You'll walk down the kilometre-long Siq, a chasm with towering 200-metre canyon walls leading to the Treasury, a magnificent 43-metre-high facade. Then explore the Colonnaded Street, Royal Tombs, and the ancient theatre carved from solid rock with 8,000 seats. The afternoon is free to discover more, whether that's climbing to the High Place of Sacrifice for desert views or trekking to the Monastery, Petra's largest monument. An optional evening candlelit Siq walk lets you see the Treasury illuminated.

Petra to Wadi Rum
Early risers can explore more of Petra before heading out. Then it's into the dunes of Wadi Rum for a 4WD adventure through the desert landscape. You'll experience Bedouin hospitality with traditionally made tea over a fire and watch the sunset color the dunes. At the premium camp, you'll stay in spacious private tents with beds, bedding, and solar-powered electricity. Dinner is a traditional Zarb BBQ (chicken, goat, or vegetarian options) cooked under the sand with mezze, while everyone gathers around the central fire pit for stargazing.

After several action-packed days exploring Jordan, head to Aqaba on the Red Sea for relaxation. This resort town is where locals come to holiday themselves. You can snorkel among preserved coral reefs and sea life, unwind at the private Berenice Beach Club, cool off in the hotel's rooftop pool, or walk through vibrant souks. Explore local restaurants and bars to experience Jordanian coastal life at your own pace.

Aqaba to Dead Sea to Amman
Depart Aqaba and travel north along the King's Highway to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth's surface. With 33% salt content, you'll float almost effortlessly, experiencing that mysterious weightless sensation. Soak in the rejuvenating mineral mud known for its healing properties. Visit the panoramic complex for views, then head back to Amman.
