You'll arrive in Buenos Aires today and have the freedom to explore the city however you'd like. This is your chance to get oriented, walk around neighborhoods that interest you, grab some food, or just take things slow after traveling.

Buenos Aires to Ushuaia
Head to the airport for your flight to Ushuaia this morning. Once you land, you'll visit Tierra del Fuego National Park to see the mountain and forest landscape. Later, you board the MS Fridtjof Nansen and the ship sets sail across the Drake Passage toward the South Shetland Islands and Antarctica.

Drake Passage Crossing
Spend the day crossing the Drake Passage aboard the ship. The Expedition Team runs educational lectures covering Antarctica's history and science, plus sessions on climate change impacts. You'll also have workshops where you can learn bird identification and whale identification techniques.

At Sea
Today you can relax aboard the ship and use whatever facilities appeal to you. There's a hot tub, saltwater infinity pool, sauna, and a walking track if you want to stay active. The lounge bar is great for downtime, and dinner comes from the chef-prepared restaurant.

Antarctica Exploration
Your five-day Antarctic Peninsula exploration starts now. You'll see massive icebergs, towering glaciers, and the contrast between icy silence and the calls of penguins or the sound of ice crashing into the water. The landscape here is quite different from anywhere else you've experienced.

Antarctica Exploration
The Expedition Team organizes shore landings so you can see seal colonies and penguin rookeries up close. You have options: take a moderate hike to chinstrap and gentoo penguin colonies, kayak among icebergs to spot leopard seals and Adelie penguins, or go on Zodiac excursions looking for orca, humpback, and minke whales.

Antarctic exploration continues with more opportunities to get out on the water. You can kayak among icebergs or join Zodiac excursions to observe leopard seals, Adelie penguins, and whales in the deeper waters. The wildlife viewing changes depending on where the ship navigates.

Antarctica Exploration
If you prefer staying aboard rather than going ashore, the Expedition Team has lectures scheduled about Antarctica's environment, the wildlife here, and regional history. It's a good way to learn more context for everything you've been seeing.

Drake Passage Crossing
You're heading back across the Drake Passage toward Argentina today. Spend time on the observation deck looking for wildlife, or relax in the ship's lounge and reflect on your Antarctic adventure with fellow travelers from the expedition.

Ushuaia to Buenos Aires
The ship arrives in Ushuaia this morning. After breakfast, you disembark and catch a flight to Buenos Aires, then transfer to your premium hotel to settle in.

- Day 13
Buenos Aires
Take an in-depth tour of Buenos Aires starting with Avenida de Mayo and Plaza de Mayo to see the pink Casa Rosada, the cathedral, and the Cabildo. Then you'll explore La Boca's colorful Italian-influenced neighborhood including the famous Caminito pedestrian street. Later you travel along Avenida 9 de Julio, and the day finishes with an Insider Experience Farewell Dinner.
