- Kimberly· October 23rd, 2024We had a great experience in Scotland. Our tour director Ian was amazing and very knowledgable. The coach was comfortable and activities were interesting and fun. We saw so much of Scotland in our 12 days.Show more

- carol· October 8th, 2023Once on the trip it was good. The communication prior to getting there left something to be desired. (We were bumped out at one point and until I called was told there was nothing to be done, which caused a great deal of anxiety.) The tour director, Chris was incredibly knowledgeable and seemed enthusiastic about most subjects. The hotels were all good and beds (except one very soft one) were fairly comfortable. The add-ons, which I did all of were good except the last 2 were very slow meal service and the last one- farewell dinner was not great. But overall good food, (if a bit the same every time.) Since my friend and I had never been on a tour (booking all the ad-ons) may have been too much. We were exhausted and a few days prior to the end were wishing it was over. The packing up suitcases daily (or a couple of times 2 days) was also tiring and daunting since we've always traveled to a single destination and would only pack up the last day. The driver was very good. Probably next time I'll do a single destination and explore from there.Show more

Asked on June 14th, 2022If trip begins in Edinburgh and ends in Glasgow where should I fly into and how do I get to tour group? I have never been on group tour or flown internationally.
- Brendan VacationsOperator•Written June 2022
You would fly into the Edinburgh Airport (EDI) and out of the Glasgow International Airport (GLA). You will receive a complimentary transfer to the tour start hotel as long as your arrival flight meets our transfer times, and you will meet with Travel Director and the rest of the group from there.

Asked on February 8th, 2022Why can't we bring our carry on roller baggage that we use on the aircraft? Hard to get 2 weeks of things in one piece of luggage.
- Brendan VacationsOperator•Written March 2022
Given the luggage storage allowance on the inside of our motorcoaches, we are only able to have guests store carry-on luggage that is soft-sided without wheels or telescopic handles as luggage of that type are too big to fit inside the coach. The space allowed for storage in the coach is about less than half the size of an overhead storage bin in an aircraft. Guests can also store luggage under their seats, however luggage with wheels or telescopic handles run a safety risk when stored under your seats as they can roll around the coach or block the passage ways in your travels. The alternative storage option for those still wanting to bring luggage outside of the standard allowances is to store these bags under the coach in the main luggage compartment. However, you will not have access to this luggage while travelling and storage here can only be accommodated if there is extra space as this storage compartment is dedicated to hold all guests' main suitcases. As we understand that packing for our longer vacations can be a challenge, we typically accommodate our guests in 4-5 star properties where possible that have laundry services available.

Asked on October 29th, 2018Is travel insurance compulsory?
- Brendan VacationsOperator•Written October 2018
It is strongly recommended that all guests have a travel insurance policy to ensure your peace of mind before and whilst you are travelling. It's important that you protect yourself in case of any trip cancellations, an interruption for any reason, baggage delays or loss of baggage and medical expenses etc. If you still require travel insurance you obtain a quote on the following link - https://www.tourradar.com/travel-insurance

Asked on October 29th, 2018How much luggage can I bring with me?
- Brendan VacationsOperator•Written October 2018
On the tour, you can bring one suitcase per traveller with the dimensions of 76cm x 46cm x 25cm (30" x 18" x 10") but it must not weigh more than 23kg (50 lbs) due to the limited space on the coach. You can also bring one piece of hand luggage, provided it is small enough to take on the coach and can fit in the overhead storage space.

Asked on October 29th, 2018Can I bring a wheelchair on the tour?
- Brendan VacationsOperator•Written October 2018
In most circumstances, you are able to travel with a wheelchair on the tour, as long as you are travelling with someone who’s willing to provide personal assistance to you as the tour guide is unable to do so. Please advise our team of travel experts at the time of booking if you plan to bring a wheelchair to ensure your requirements can be met.
