Itinerary
- Day 1
Bangkok
You'll arrive in Bangkok today and head to your hotel for mid-afternoon check-in. This gives you time to settle in, freshen up, and get oriented to the city. The rest of the evening is yours to relax after your journey or take a short walk around your hotel neighborhood.



- Day 2
Bangkok
This morning starts with a private guided boat tour through Bangkok's klongs, the canal system that winds through the city. You'll stop at Wat Arun, known for its 260-foot spire rising above the riverbank. From there, the tour moves to the Grand Palace complex where you'll see multiple palaces and halls including the Throne Hall and Coronation Hall, plus the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. Later, you'll visit the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, Bangkok's oldest and largest Buddhist temple, which houses over 1,000 Buddha images and features a massive 49-foot-high, 151-foot-long Reclining Buddha that dominates the main chamber.

Bangkok
You have the full day to yourself in Bangkok with no set itinerary. If you're interested in architecture and design history, the Jim Thompson House tells a fascinating story. Alternatively, a dinner cruise on the Chao Phraya River lets you see the city lit up at night while having dinner. If you prefer morning activity, the Damnoen Saduak floating market gets busy early but offers an interesting look at local commerce on the water. Mix and match activities based on what appeals to you.

- Day 4
Bangkok to Chiang Mai
You'll fly north to Chiang Mai today, known locally as the Rose of the North. The flight takes about an hour and a half from Bangkok. After you arrive and get settled at your hotel, the rest of your afternoon and evening are open for you to rest or explore your new surroundings.

- Day 5
Chiang Mai
You'll travel outside the city to Elephant Nature Park, a sanctuary that's been working with rescued and orphaned elephants since the 1990s. During your visit, the guides share individual stories about each elephant and how they've recovered and formed their own herd. You'll observe the animals living in natural conditions within the rehabilitation center. The park also runs tree planting programs and cares for other rescued animals. After lunch at the sanctuary, you'll head back to Chiang Mai, arriving in the late afternoon.

- Day 6
Chiang Mai
A private guide takes you through the walled old city to visit Wat Phra Singh, where you'll see the revered Buddha. Next, you head to Wat Doi Suthep, located in the mountains outside the city. For the final approach to the temple, you can take a tram car or climb the Naga staircase, which has more than 300 steps with dragon-headed serpent railings. This afternoon is free, so you might catch a Khantoke dance performance with dinner, take a cooking class to learn Thai cuisine, or wander through the night market.
