Arrival in Kuching
You'll arrive in Kuching and head to your hotel to settle in. The afternoon and evening are open for you to explore the city on your own pace, so wander around the riverfront area or check out whatever catches your interest.

Kuching
This morning you're heading out early to the Semenggok Rehabilitation Center to see orangutans during feeding time, though they don't always show up. Back in Kuching by midday, you'll take a water cab ride to a local village, then visit the oldest Chinese temple in Sarawak and walk through the spice market. Lunch happens at a local restaurant, and later you'll have dinner at a popular fish restaurant in town.

Bako National Park
An early morning bus takes you to Bako village, and from there you'll spend 30 minutes on a boat heading to Bako National Park. Once you arrive, you'll walk around the park looking at the plants and animals, including proboscis monkeys that only live on Borneo. You'll have a packed lunch while exploring the park.

- Day 4
Iban Longhouse
You'll travel through different landscapes on your way to an Iban longhouse, stopping at a market in the village of Serian along the way. After lunch in the Chinese village of Lachau, you'll take a 45-minute boat ride across Batang Ai Lake to reach the longhouse deep in the jungle. The Iban people will greet you with tea, and in the evening you'll watch them prepare a simple jungle dinner. After that, you'll eat dinner with the indigenous people while listening to traditional gong music and a war dance ceremony in full traditional costume.

Return to Kuching
Following breakfast, you'll watch an interesting blowpipe demonstration with the Iban people. Then you'll travel by dugout canoe-like boat down the jungle river back to Kuching, with lunch served on the boat. You'll return to Hotel Grand Margarita Kuching for the night.

Kuching to Mulu National Park
This morning you're transferring to the airport for a 90-minute flight to Mulu. After checking into your hotel and grabbing lunch nearby, you'll explore Mulu National Park and its cave systems (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). A 45-minute hike takes you to Lang Cave with its interesting rock formations, then you'll continue to Deer Cave where you can watch thousands of bats leave for their nightly hunt from the bat viewing platform.

Mulu National Park
After breakfast, you'll take a 30-40 minute boat trip to Wind Cave, stopping at a Penan settlement on the way. From there you'll walk to Clearwater Cave and have a short tea break before going inside to explore. You'll have a picnic lunch and then swim in the clear waters outside the cave. Back at the hotel, the rest of your day is free to do as you like.

Mulu to Kota Kinabalu
You're heading to the airport for a flight to Kota Kinabalu, arriving around 1:40 pm. In the late afternoon, you'll take a city tour hitting the floating mosque, the glass and steel tower of the Sabah Foundation, and the night market before dinner at a local restaurant.
