Kuching
You'll get picked up from the airport this morning, giving yourself time to get settled into your hotel. By afternoon, take a city tour through Kuching to get your bearings and see what the city has to offer before your first night here.

Semonggok - Batang Ai - Bantang Ai Lake
Your day begins early with breakfast before heading to Semonggok Orang Utan Reserve to see the orangutans. Then you'll drive toward Batang Ai, stopping in Serian to walk through the local market and get a feel for what's sold there. After that, Lachau is next on the route where you can browse handicrafts and pick up any supplies you might need. Once you reach Bantang Ai Lake, you'll board a traditional longboat for about 50 minutes to get to an Iban longhouse. There you'll meet the community members, and by evening you'll sit down for a traditional meal while watching a cultural show.

Landmarks Semonggok Orang Utan Reserve Batang Ai Bantang Ai Lake - Day 3
Bantang Ai Lake
This day is yours to shape based on what interests you most. You can stay with the Iban community and learn traditional skills like basket weaving or how to make fishing nets, or head out to see the rice fields and pepper farms. Another option is taking a longboat upstream into the forest to collect bamboo and leaves before coming back for a local picnic lunch. The activities here are flexible, so you pick what appeals to you.

Batang Ai to Kuching
Head back to Kuching by traditional longboat and then by car to your hotel, with lunch included during the drive. After that, you have the rest of the day free to relax, wander around town, or check out anything you missed earlier.

- Day 5
Kuching to Mulu
After breakfast, you'll transfer to Kuching airport to catch a domestic flight to Mulu with a connection through Miri. When you land in Mulu, a transfer will take you to your hotel where you'll be staying for the next 2 nights. You can choose your accommodation level based on your preferences.

Landmarks Mulu National Park - Day 6
Mulu
Today you'll take a boat out to Clearwater Cave where you can jump in for a swim and have a picnic lunch by the water. On the way or while you're there, you'll see the Cave of the Winds as well. After that, the boat will take you back so you can have dinner at your hotel or resort.

Mulu to Kota Kinabalu
You'll head to Mulu airport and fly back through Miri before continuing on to Kota Kinabalu. Once you arrive, a transfer will bring you to your hotel where you'll stay for 2 nights.

Kota Kinabalu
A park ranger will take you on an excursion through Kinabalu National Park, this botanical area with over 1,500 species of orchids and rhododendrons. You'll walk jungle trails and look for rare birds along the way. The centerpiece is Mount Kinabalu itself, which stands at 4,101 meters and is the highest peak in Southeast Asia.
