The ship departs at 6pm, so you'll have time to settle into your cabin and get oriented before heading up for a welcome cocktail. After that, you're off into the Strait of Magellan toward Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego. The expedition team gives talks in the evening covering what you'll see on upcoming excursions, so it's good to stick around and learn what's ahead.

Later in the day, you'll cruise through the northwest arm of the Beagle Channel where things get really impressive. This section's called the 'Avenue of Glaciers' because multiple glaciers line both sides of this narrow fjord, making it feel pretty dramatic as you pass through.
